Leave a like and subscribe for upcoming Content in the future! Was gonna make a community post about this but decided to say it here, will I still play the modded game? Yes because far as I know, the dev team are not getting paid for this if they are then I and others wouldn’t be playing the game. Or something worse then toxicity on dev side (which I hope that doesn’t happen.) beside that, I personality will still play the game until further actions.
I was going through the discord and made a realization 2 months later that the server was gone from my end. I didn't think I got banned. but if I gotten banned for posting a emoji that caused a up roar this bad. then yeah. I'd be pissed too. but frankly at the moment, I just don't remember it.
While I do think that banning people over a fucking Discord reaction emoji is fucking absurd, to an extent I do understand where the mods are coming from, specially since I'm a trans woman and I've had to deal with some real pieces of shit who get their panties in a twist just because I exist. You see, this whole situation is a textbook example of the paradox of tolerance, in that you need to question how much is it worth it to tolerate intolerance, and the mods from the STEM server choose the nuclear option right off the bat. The reasoning behind banning people for something as simple as an emoji is because nobody knows if the people who put those reactions will stop there, there's a chance they could've started harassing people on the server. But that's the thing, even then the mods are arguably still in the wrong here, because they did break the rules by banning people for what acording to the server's rules is a non existent offense. And if they did start harassing people, then just fucking ban them then and there, not because of the thumbs down reaction. It's true that Discord servers and any social forum become shitholes when not moderated correctly, but the STEM mods are the opposite, they're downright authoritarian. Still, what I'm trying to get at is that some of us queers have gone through so much and gotten so much shit from some people that we sometimes resort to very extreme measures just so that we are left alone. This is gonna sound really fucked up, but sometimes after reading hate comments I do consider enacting acts of violence as retribution, but of course, I know that if I ever do that, I will be the one in the wrong, because nobody deserves to be attacked based on what they believe in, unles they're like a turbo nazi or something like that.
It's crazy to think that they broke their own rules about politics. I respect their ways, but if you're gonna say no politics, don't you think that should also apply to that? Just saying. Someone else I know had trouble with the dev team. GSTE has said that they can't really take honest criticism from an experience that he had when the first beta released. He refuses to talk about or play STEM after that now.

The only thing I don't like what they did is ban people, other than that this whole controversy doesn't matter

Game is still continuing regardless.

Tell me about it, I’ve had a chat with one of them and the end they tried to make me look an asshole while trying explain how morally they are.
@Zillathegreenkajiu Ouch, sorry you had to go through that. I've had my share of encounters with people like that
