I wish to add that there is something missing in the wellbeing of our peoples and I am specifically talking about the Bantu diaspora who have been dislocated from their spiritual beliefs and ancestoral guidance since the onset of the transatlantic slave trade and up until now with the aggressive monetization and roll-out of North American Evangelical Christianity across Western Africa. For example, I have observed how this form of Christianity has removed the use of simple libations and naming ceremonies that I who was born in the west observed my father and other men from my indigenous background perform. My father and the people I observed are now passed into spirit and I feel I need to register my consternation and sorrow around the loss of our spiritual practices and beliefs. Specifically things like self inflicted gun and knife crime that is removing generations of people early. I think there is an awakening of the green shoots of it's spiritually and art amongst the world-wide Bantu diaspora about its authentic Ancestors, Guides, God(s), Angels, Teachers and Archetypes.
