Thanks Rummy! You’re my absolute favorite Boxing UA-camr. Imagine how pleasantly surprised I was as a Sopranos super fan, to discover you also produce excellent videos on that show! Seriously man, you bring happiness and joy to my life when I watch your videos. Thank you and keep it up!
That’s a solid list rummy. Personally i think you have Ortiz a bit too high and Whyte a bit too low and I would have switched AJ & Wilder but I would take your ranking over any of the alphabet Rankings 😂
I disagree with Fury at number 1, I would put Usyk/Fury as no 1 until they fight we would not know who the best is of this era. Even though Fury beat Klitschko he never had the rematch which Klitschko deserved as a long reigning champion. Also I disagree with wilder at 3 his resume is very weak has only beat 1 hw world champion(Stiverne ) and never defended against his mandatory Whyte for over 3 years. Other than that I think its a solid list i guess lots of the position are debatable as they have not all fought each other. Keep up the good content.
oh boy, that video is for sure not gonna be controversial. Edit: Yes, it's a shame you rank Fury above. Fury was retired for real after Wlad, blew up AND popped for roids. Usyk is the one real champ and he is the guy to beat, not Fury. Especially not after the negotiation debace with Fury very clearly ducking Usyk
Never mind that he’s not a true heavyweight, but like Holyfield before him, that needn’t hold him back from shaking the division right up. A good thing, too, because Fury seems all-too-happy to gob off rather than to put his money where his mouth is.
idk when the ring magazine changed their champion to usyk but i think the majority of people would agree at this point that usyk, whether or not he would beat him, deserves to be called champion a lot more than fury. in a head to head sense fury is probably number 1, in a lineal sense fury is the champion, but the only reason why fans dont decisively know who the number 1 is is because fury has almost certianly ducked 2 undisputed fights, and ever since the rematch against wilder he's done nothing but mess the entire boxing world around and contradict himself. i think he's somewhat understandably decided that he's done all he wants to in boxing, and if you ask me he hasn't looked anyway near as sharp in the ring since wilder 2 and that combined with his bs outside the ring makes me think he's unmotivated to carry on boxing and his only goal is to make money without risking his reputation or perfect record. he either needed to retire after beating wilder like he said or make the undisputed fight happen and act like a champion, and he's destroying his standing in boxing one decision at a time, whereas usyk has shown himself to be a true champion and has earned the respect of everyone, and even if the fight happens and usyk loses i think a lot of people myself included will still respect usyk a lot more at this point
I think fury is actually holding out for an AJ fight first. It would be a massive payday and likely a win for fury. After that, but only after that, would he take on Usyk. If he fought Usyk first - and lost - the entire “England’s greatest champion” narrative for a fight between Tyson and AJ would mean little. Both of them would be ex champions with dented records. But beat AJ first, get paid, then take on Usyk for a final massive payday. Makes perfect sense.
@@utkarsh2746 before not after. fury officially retired, and he confirmed it with the ring, which left the ring belt vacant...all of this right before AJ-usyk 2.
List started out pretty accurate, but became completely stupid once he got into the top ten. DDD is the WBA "regular" titleholder, has a solid record, has a title shot within the next few months. Clearly he needs to be on this list over fighters like Wallin and Sanchez. Besides that, Rummy has given all the guys ducking the nod over the guys they've been ducking. Ruiz openly ducked Hrgovic twice, but he put Ruiz over Hrgovic. Wilder ducked AJ at least twice, but he still put Wilder over AJ. And after Fury went thru a 5 and a half month long extremely complicated and dramatic duck festival to avoid Usyk, but he put Fury over Usyk... despite all the flaws. Still pretending Fury's the lineal champ, too. Pathetic.
great list rummy, didn’t personally agree with parker and whyte but can see the reasoning. ruiz fury is looking likely for the summer. would be a nice sight to have two top five heavyweights fighting.
Zhang has moved into my top 5 now! He's 26 - 1 - 1 with 20 Kos plus an Olympic silver medal and tons of amateur fights so he's very experienced now. He's huge but fast, has one punch knock out power, he's awkward and has a great defence, he has a good chin, he's always learning, he's got big money and support from China behind him and he's a southpaw!. Its so hard to find good, experienced southpaws to spar with so that's a huge advantage! There's only 3 southpaws in 150 years who won the heavyweight title! He's an anomaly in terms of heavyweight boxing and that's a huge edge for him.
@@devilsolution9781 The Hrgovic-Zhang fight was aa dull affair that showed both fighters need a lot of work. "Unofficially" "winning" a bad fight against an unproven opponent while completely gassing out in the late rounds isn't exactly legendary stuff. Zhang would get utterly destroyed by any of the top 3 on this list.
@@devilsolution9781 definitely, Hrgovic lost that and Ruiz is WAY too high he barely got past Old man ortiz who shouldn't be anywhere near this list he's probably down at Chisora level.
Dunno enough about 15-6, but I think your top 5 are spot on. I also agree that Joshua and Wilder need to fight and I think that Wilder will confirm his position at 3rd in that fight, which could well mean that Joshua's title ambitions after that will be quite limited. But the big one, Fury-Usyk, NEEDS to happen for the good of boxing in general, but especially for the heavyweight division.
As a video idea for you rummy, for us UK fans, could you do Ricky Hatton. He was much beloved by the UK fans, for his fighting style, and his character. He was seen as one of us, and normal guy. And he holds a special place in the hearts of UK fans
I think Gatekeepers like Jermaine Franklin, Derek Chisora and Hughie Fury. They have lost to but done ok against top fighters and have done a lot more than most in the 10-15 ratings. Just because someone is unbeaten it doesn't necessary mean they are a great fighter. Beating no marks is not worth of a decent rating. Also I think the best rating system is Boxrec
As the top fighters don't fight enough, let alone fight each other, it's hard to make a top 15 list. My list would be a little different but for the most part it's a solid list, an enjoyable video to watch as you've backed up the positions.
Who has Wilder ever beaten? He's beaten 1 top-10 fighter in his career. How has Fury been rated ahead of Usyk? Considering Fury is ducking him, that puts him ahead of Fury until he actually gets in there. #1 Usyk #2 Fury #3 Joshua
Heavyweight divisions a mess with no consistently, 2 many excuses not to fight, 2much HYPE n fewer fights too with Insane amounts of 💸💸💸💸 for fights that only a few of the public are interested in.
Zhilei zhang 🇨🇳 filip hrgovic 🇭🇷 joe joyce 🇬🇧 Daniel dubois 🇬🇧 deontay Wilder 🇺🇸 Anthony Joshua 🇬🇧 tyson fury 🇬🇧 oleksandr usyk 🇺🇦 and more are all very good fighters.
This is such a great channel for boxing nerds, I love stuff like this, ranking the fighters. This was a depressing list in so many ways, particularly in the way that so few of them have fought each other. I haven't seen Sanchez yet - how did he not get DQ'd from that clip in the video? Incidentally, I see that the Ring have now updated their heavyweight rankings - Zhang goes straight in at No.4, and Joyce falls to No.7.
I dislike Tyson Fury and am obsessed with Usyk. However, I really am worried for Usyk if they fight, and if it happens, will have to overcome my worries if he gets totally crushed. It would be a painful day for me, but I also know that everyone has a sports hero who has eventually fallen in some way. I want to be as realistic as I can and say that Fury is my begrudgingly #1. Side note, I cheered for him against against Vlad and hoped for his recovery from addiction, but he’s gone and said some stupid things that make me question his personality as a decent human.
Fury is my fav, and Usyk 2nd. I predicted in 2019 before they had their belts that undisputed would be between them with Fury winning it. And yes I was terrorized by wilder and aj fanboys who thought its impossible for a White man to beat their black supremacist favorite boxer. I said aj was overrated and finally people agree. My long long prediction has been Wilder kos aj in round one. I base it off, the first Wilder/Fury fight where he was going for the KO in round 1. Normally Wilder waits to go for his windmill nonesense. against aj who has power, he also won't wait to get out boxed but will try to get a ko early.
@@ReservoirPunk Fury knows how to fight big. He knows how to use his 85" reach. aj squats down and gives up his height advantage and that slows his movements getting in and out of range. beating aj no problem...beating fury? i dont think so.
1. Tyson fury 2. Oleksandr Usyk 3. Anthony Joshua 4. Deontay wilder 5. Andy Ruiz 6. Zhillei Zhang 7. Dillian whyte 8. Filip hrgovic 9. Joe Joyce 10. Joseph Parker 11. Luis Ortiz 12. Martin bakole 13. Michael Hunter 14. Frank Sanchez 15. Jarrell Miller
You're being disingenuous. Fury fought and beat Wlad back when Wlad had a string of victories for years and years. He also beat Dillian Whyte soundly via KO. I'm not a Fury fan and he sucks for not taking the Usyk fight but let's not muddy the waters about his record.
… are you in the right channel? Do you know what the lineage is? He’s the lineal champion and until he’s beaten there’s no way to say anyone is better than him.
Kossobutskiy, Jalalov, Makhmadov and Hunter above Whyte, Wallin, Parker and Ortiz for me. Maybe not on paper as of yet, but certainly in terms of potential.
a few years ago after the second Wilder fight sure but he's not the same fighter he was at the time lol fury is behaving like a guy on retirements door, he's inactive and always on holiday and partying. His poor lifestyle choices all catching up to him. You'd be surprised what an easy fight he would be for "the middlweight" (And if Fury was as confident as you people, he wouldnt act the way he does calling out guys like Chisora for a trilogy, negotiating with the likes of Mahmoud Charr even, ridiculous)
Hrgovic behind Joyce and Whyte? Nothing can justify that imo. He had a kind of draw with Zhang while Joyce lost to Zhilei. And Whyte would imo get wrecked by both Filip and Joe right now since he is shot.
How can Fury be the man to beat? In large part, he's avoiding fighting people who can beat him. He also took a three year vacation earlier during which he refused the contractual rematch with Klitschko... didn't the lose the status right there? Can anybody keep the status of a lineal champ for x years and then fight Pianeta? Wouldn't such person have to deserve such status again? What if it wasn't 3 but 7 years? Strange narrative by Rummy to say the least.
I think Dubois would defeat a number of those in the lower reaches of your list. That said, it is incredibly difficult to know for sure as he’s only fought Joyce as a top level opponent and lost that one.
I think that’s a good “objective” list. It’s pretty hard to determine ranking based on who people have beat alone when we have the eye test too. For instance, I think Wilder will knock out Usyk if they fight fairly soon, and I think Andy Ruiz would beat Joshua if they fought a third time, but we have to go on what have you done for me lately.
Not even close wilder is slow flat footed and can’t box for shit. A BRONZE medalist going up against a gold medalist. Wilder never beat anyone good. He would get embarrassed by Usyk
Just like I predicted in your heavyweights video years ago, Usyk and Tyson rose to the top. And I'm beginning to think Tyson is not very confident in that matchup after declining the fight multiple times and a 70-30 % split in his favor. I think Usyk could be the one to dethrone him.
I disagree. As much as I like Usyk, he would be jabbed (to the face) quite a bit by Fury. Usyk, on the other hand, just won't be able to have the reach to jab to the face let alone have much knockout power against Fury.
They have weight classes for a reason. Usyk is a highly skilled cruiserweight fighting as a very small heavyweight. Fury is a highly skilled gigantic heavyweight- 3" taller and 35 lbs heavier than AJ. Fury has far more skill than AJ, 3" more reach, and a granite chiin. Love Usyk, but that's a lot for him to overcome.
It’s such a big reason for mma’s rise. It’s what I was raised on & it blows my mind how rare it is to see the best fight the best, especially on a regular basis.
To call Fury #1 after his ducking session of late and his ducking of even AJ before, makes this list sooooo questionable. In my eyes, he is a well better advised and managed Buster Douglas, making a career of his strange upset victory over the great Wladimir Klitschko. He is just fighting bums in my opinion. Wilder is the technically worst heavyweight in the top roster and everything he fought else since his return is just laughable. Fury has a chin and is technically a decent boxer, but this aside, he is not outstanding. Heavyweight is currently an angloamerican circlejerk, with networks and broadcasters constantly assuring themselves, that their hyped up boxers are stellar, when they are pretty mediocre instead.
I'd personally have Usyk above Fury, simply because Fury ducked him and Usyk honestly got more belts. Doing the eye test Fury is prob above, but we will never know since he refused to fight Usyk. Other than that it is a great list, eventho it makes me sad that you say my boy Joyce might not be able to come up towards a HW title fight again due to his age.. :(
I think Rummy is going purely by boxing achievements inside the ring, the drama outside the ring wasn't even mentioned in the video, who ducked who or whatever.
How does having more belts make you above. Boxing has way too many belts. USYK beat 1 man for those belts a broken man in AJ. Fury beat a man to win his belt. Fury is bigger than USYk. I think USYk at 2 is warranted only cons think having more belts makes you above the rest but it’s just a piece of leather that was constructed for sanctioning bodies to con and make more money off. No man can really defend all that crap
I've put also dubois in the low end, anyway what u stated multiple times during the vid is arguably true, it's impossible to determine who's the best apart from the first 5.
Rummy, iirc, Fury TOLD Ring not to rank him anymore when he was "retired" while back. So its possibly that? Great list btw. Hrgovic probably the unknown quantity right now maybe?
You are really ride or die with the American heavyweight scene 😂 And yet it has been an absolute second-tier wasteland for the last 10 years. Keep flying that flag. 👍
So sad that the politics of boxing affect the quality of the product so badly. The rankings are all over the place and make pretty much no sense and none of the top fighters are willing to fight each other. I love the sport, but it can be hard to get behind sometimes

I mean it isnt like Zhang had a life and death struggle with Joyce, he won it very clear. So either Zhilei or Filip on 5 would be my pick, but of course thats just an opinion.
Great list. I agree with almost all of it, though I can see a world where Usyk beats Tyson Fury because of his superior speed and technical boxing prowess, but Deontay Wilder beats Usyk because his punches are technically nuclear weapons. Rock, Paper, Scissors.
@@cyclopsthebeastofyork-bq8es It only takes one good punch or two despite Deontay having subpar boxing skills. Deontay has just enough skills to setup up a good punch, it's not like Usyk's face and head is untouchable.
@@cyclopsthebeastofyork-bq8es I respect your opinion, but I disagree. Usyk is slick, fast, and has great footwork, but Wilder only needs to hit you once. I just don't see Usyk getting through 12 rounds without Wilder landing at least one bomb, and once he does, it's night-night. That's my assessment anyway, but I could also see Usyk lasting long enough to win.

@cyclops the beast of york those HWs were actually smaller and all big swingers no real boxing skill unless yiur Lewis, Ali, and Tyson they all power punchers slugging it oust every fight less technical. More money and politics in today’s boxing than back then

I couldn't agree more Rummy. I'm late to this so things have changed. But from 18:30 every word you were SPOT ON. OK, there has been an upturn, but a lot of them are still not doing much, so how do you make bets, how do you rank them?
Never in boxing history should Tyson Fury be ranked among the best heavyweights. It is a historical crime that after 20 years, the undisputed fight could not take place because of Fury's dishonest escape. Usyk has lost the opportunity to fight for the all-time best recognition close to his prime form and age. Shame.
Usyk is #1 for me at this point. If everyone agrees, and keeps ranking them like that maybe Fury's Ego will finally let us see for ourselves who is actually better.
Can't really disagree with the top 5, the other 10 is so hard to pick at this point and is so subjective as you said in the video but I think you did a good job summing up the logic of the order you chose.

Does Rummy have another channel? Please share.

Thank you rummy. It’s lunch time here in Nigeria 🇳🇬 and I have something to watch while eating. God bless you man.
That’s a solid list rummy. Personally i think you have Ortiz a bit too high and Whyte a bit too low and I would have switched AJ & Wilder but I would take your ranking over any of the alphabet Rankings 😂
I would have put AJ lower.
Wilder would kill aj
Whyte has no business in any top fighters list
yea Ortiz is def not top 10, although Whyte should be higher not 5-6 like the WBA hs him
Interesting about Whyte. Where would you put him? He’s not top ten, in my book, so 11 sounds right on the money.
Every fighter attached to either PBC or Top Rank he been ranked too high here...
Fury is going to break Usyk in half. And I like Usyk. But it’s not going to be close.
Fury no.1 keep crying beta 🇬🇧 💪🏽
Usyk is a breath of fresh air to the heavyweight section! It’s about time👍👍
Never mind that he’s not a true heavyweight, but like Holyfield before him, that needn’t hold him back from shaking the division right up.
When Fury did his "retirement" drama right after AJ-Usyk 2 they called him on it. It was a clear duck even back then.
Usyk won't loose that one, and that's probably why it's not happening.
@@SKa-tt9nm You might be right which means that all his talk about I’ll fight anyone time anytime bs is just that
Bs
@@utkarsh2746 before not after. fury officially retired, and he confirmed it with the ring, which left the ring belt vacant...all of this right before AJ-usyk 2.
Kinda surprised Dubois isn’t in your list cuz he’s the mandatory for Usyk’s WBA belt
Pathetic.
I am not surprised Rummy left him out, and I agree its deserved. Rankings don't mean sh*t but what do I know about boxing
After the Joyce fight, Dubois only won a rigged fight vs a brazilian. He doesn't deserves at all to be fighting Usik.
Doesn’t mean he’s too 15
Dubois is gash. Needed to be saved by an early bell against Lerena. Awful fix of a fight.
I know Fury is the lineal champ but i would put Usyk above him because of his strength of competition lately
great list rummy, didn’t personally agree with parker and whyte but can see the reasoning. ruiz fury is looking likely for the summer. would be a nice sight to have two top five heavyweights fighting.
No, Ruiz Jr isn't a true "fighting man". The gypsy is giving the opportunity to a real man, Mahmoud Charr.
How can he be top 5 he lost to hgorvic (however you spell it)
He also unofficially beat the guy above him in hrgovic, doesnt sound like rummy watched that fight tbh. Zhang above ruiz and hergovic for sure.
@@devilsolution9781 The Hrgovic-Zhang fight was aa dull affair that showed both fighters need a lot of work. "Unofficially" "winning" a bad fight against an unproven opponent while completely gassing out in the late rounds isn't exactly legendary stuff. He was robbed against Hergovic
@@devilsolution9781 definitely, Hrgovic lost that and Ruiz is WAY too high he barely got past Old man ortiz who shouldn't be anywhere near this list he's probably down at Chisora level.

Never let it be forgotten that Tyson Fury ducked a middleweight.
A "Fighting man" terrified of a fight 😂😂
NEVER!!!
He ducked a Ukrainian trans
Dunno enough about 15-6, but I think your top 5 are spot on. I also agree that Joshua and Wilder need to fight and I think that Wilder will confirm his position at 3rd in that fight, which could well mean that Joshua's title ambitions after that will be quite limited. But the big one, Fury-Usyk, NEEDS to happen for the good of boxing in general, but especially for the heavyweight division.
Hello from the Yukon. Great video. Its nice to wake up and have one of your videos to watch over breakfast.
I've learned more about boxing from you than anyone else, Rummy. You're a legend. Thank you.
Sanchez vs Anderson would be a helluva fight
The question is, will Arum let it happen? I see Ajagba fighting Anderson first.
hard to argue with that reasoning, but i think Wallin deserves to be higher
It was sad to see that footage of him fighting in a small town leisure centre in front of just a handful of spectators... he deserves better than that
As a video idea for you rummy, for us UK fans, could you do Ricky Hatton. He was much beloved by the UK fans, for his fighting style, and his character. He was seen as one of us, and normal guy. And he holds a special place in the hearts of UK fans
Yeah you gotta love Hitman, a true athlete!
Go and watch his bodyshot highlights reel. Brutal!
Wasn't he making a comeback this year? I never followed it so don't know how it went for him.
One my favorite styles. I’d love to see a Hatton video please 🙏🏽
Also I think the best rating system is Boxrec
those are the true champs!
Rummy drunk if he thinks wilder a better hw than Joshua......that or drugs
you Brits stick by your guys, you must think Dave Price is top 15 😂
No one thinks Wilder is a better boxer, he's just got that insane power that is more than an equalizer.
#1 Usyk
#2 Fury
#3 Joshua

Amazing that there are even 15 good heavyweights
How Ortiz is in there I don’t know. Best win is against Jennings nearly a decade ago. Joyce beat Jennings in his 10th bout.
Americans buy the PBC-Showtime hype wholesale. Helenius and Brazeale are now wins that put you in the top 3.
Its pathetic
Feel like even Dubois is a better pick then Ortiz
This is such a great channel for boxing nerds, I love stuff like this, ranking the fighters. This was a depressing list in so many ways, particularly in the way that so few of them have fought each other. I haven't seen Sanchez yet - how did he not get DQ'd from that clip in the video? Incidentally, I see that the Ring have now updated their heavyweight rankings - Zhang goes straight in at No.4, and Joyce falls to No.7.
Right..Tyson fury no.1
Per the usual, you provide awesome analysis and videos. Pls don't ever stop!😀
Here here! Rummy’s content is unparalleled and his analysis is incredibly well-reasoned.
We need one belt one champion IMHO. In this age. Everyone is a champion and unfulfilling. Everyone have a great Day!!
What stupid things has he said?
Usyk will box Fury's ears off and Fury knows it.
It will never happen! Fury will fight Mahmoud Charr

I mean who should be #1 instead of Fury???Usyk hasn't have enough Heavyweight fights to be #1.
You're being disingenuous. Fury fought and beat Wlad back when Wlad had a string of victories for years and years. He also beat Dillian Whyte soundly via KO.
I'm not a Fury fan and he sucks for not taking the Usyk fight but let's not muddy the waters about his record.
Generally a great channel but he has been on the Wilder and Fury hype train for a while now.
… are you in the right channel? Do you know what the lineage is? He’s the lineal champion and until he’s beaten there’s no way to say anyone is better than him.
He’s the best and you know it. I agree he’s being a pussy and needs to fight usyk. But he will beat usyk all over the ring
Great work RC. Clear and informative videos. I think you justify your top 15 very well. For what it's worth, I agree with you. All the best..
Kossobutskiy, Jalalov, Makhmadov and Hunter above Whyte, Wallin, Parker and Ortiz for me. Maybe not on paper as of yet, but certainly in terms of potential.
I can definitely understand where you're coming from here.

Usyk is number #1 he's just wants to fight the best
Just like I predicted in your heavyweights video years ago, Usyk and Tyson rose to the top. And I'm beginning to think Tyson is not very confident in that matchup after declining the fight multiple times and a 70-30 % split in his favor. I think Usyk could be the one to dethrone him.
I disagree. As much as I like Usyk, he would be jabbed (to the face) quite a bit by Fury. Usyk, on the other hand, just won't be able to have the reach to jab to the face let alone have much knockout power against Fury.
Regardless of who wins Tyson vs Usuk both at their best would be a great fight to watch.
NOBODY CARES WHAT YOU SUPPOSEDLY PREDICTED
Fury didn't decline the fight Usyk walked away because Fury wouldn't give him a ridiculous rematch split.
Fury duckin..
Good video again
Tough Fury is no.1 keep crying beta 🇬🇧 💪🏽

Having beaten Chazz, Chisora and AJ and be ranked at number 2 or even 1 for some is way too generous, while being the most inactive champion ever.
I've put also dubois in the low end, anyway what u stated multiple times during the vid is arguably true, it's impossible to determine who's the best apart from the first 5.
No Kevin Johnson was disappointing though, surely top 4, hell, maybe even top 3
Fury needs to stop ducking Usyk. Joshua v Wilder would be great to see.
Rummy, iirc, Fury TOLD Ring not to rank him anymore when he was "retired" while back. So its possibly that?
Great list btw. Hrgovic probably the unknown quantity right now maybe?
Yup, Fury gave up the ring title when he ‘retired’. For some reason his win against Chisora wasn’t enough to propel him to the top again…

Great list. I agree with almost all of it, though I can see a world where Usyk beats Tyson Fury because of his superior speed and technical boxing prowess, but Deontay Wilder beats Usyk because his punches are technically nuclear weapons. Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Good video. Unfortunately, the top ten in the 1990's would have destroyed every single one of these heavyweights:
1. Lennox Lewis
2. Evander Holyfield
3. Michael Moorer
4. Mike Tyson
5. Riddick Bowe
6. Razor Ruddock
7. Ike Ibeabuchi
8. Chris Byrd
9. David Tua
10. Andrew Golota
Rummy is crazy and he is weighing age way too heavily. Also, Joseph Parker is a top 10, that is a fact.
Parker fucking sucks.
Lost Chisora 1 and struggled against Fa and Massey 🤦♂️
really who has he beat? he struggled against Massy
Shame.
You acting like one of them just retired. Calm down they are fighting. You sound like a complaining wife.
Hrgovic will win anybody you pick they all s ared of hiim
Really funny that the Bronze Bomber is basically the bronze medalist for your rankings.
