That female river cooter is about 1/4 or less the size of an adult female- I have studied them in their natural habitat. They are truly HUGE when they are old. Just as big as the redbellies.

The carapace of the Suwanee Cooter can grow up to 17 inches long, it's a massive turtle. Really a tank isn't the best environment, it will need a large pond
