Great to see the effort and resources you put into your apprenticeship program, I am sure you will see the rewards in the future. The Y72 looks like it has all of the ingredients to be a very fine vessel, albeit sadly out of my budget. Looking to the future, maybe a move back into sailing yachts could be the way ahead. Something to rival Oyster, Discovery or Amel built in Plymouth to your unsurpassed standards, it would sell like hot cakes!
I think a hybrid system is available on some yachts but they are generally huge super yachts like Lurssen. A hybrid system like your talking about would take up a lot of room,to much for a small 72
I paused watching to ask this question so forgive me if it is answered later in the video: If, as stated at 12:09, the F70 is outgoing, will there be something topping out the Flybridge range, perhaps the F62 will be replaced and grow in size?
You touched on hybridization but then veered off to past sailboats and left the subject completely unaddressed, could you please tell us about solar, lithium energy storage, more electrified boats that are in the future of Princess?
Hi Ken, the Y72's will start to be delivered in Spring 2021. You can find out more about this vessel on our website: www.princessyachts.com/our-craft/y-class/y72 Or please feel free to email us at experience@princessyachts.com
To be honest Princess: I'm finding the Y72 disappointing with no innovations in the layout and the propulsion system. Does one need three different areas for lunch/dinner? Seems your clients are onboard just for eating. The Y72 has no option to store a Tender, Jetski nor other toys. If I would have to, I would choose the new Cranchi 78.
First of all Ralf there is an option to put toys on the flybridge with a Davit crane. That option is available on all but the smallest princess yachts. Second of all princess yachts come with a movable swim platform where the tender would go
@@kenbrand8972 Looking at the Y72 flybridge layout, there's doesn't seem to be enough space for anything. Of course the bathing platform is an option, but having it blocked with a tender or jetski can be annoying during stern-to docking operations. You could also tow a tender... However, having a good size garage is always the preferred option + there's couple of 70-80ft boats that offer a garage that can be used as a beach club as well.
Really enjoying this insight into Princess Yachts, well done

Beautiful. But I would love an electric hybrid. Emissions are going to get a lot tighter in the next 10 years.
