I just had a similar experience trying to remove a solid wood ledge. A multi purpose tool with interchangeable blades works really well, they have metal blades too. It's a hand held vibrating tool that can get into tight spaces. I admire your persistence in getting that apart. It payed off, nice piece.

Reciprocating saw (Sawzall) has interchangeable blades that can cut through wood, wood w/ embedded metal, metal, or other. Using a circular saw with a standard blade through metal is bound to damage the blade.
Or multitool, particularly oscillating. There are a million and one attachments you can get. An oscillating multitool and a rotary tool are very versatile for all kinda of detail work.
Reciprocating saw is more oriented towards construction work.

You probably oughta put filler on the seams. That gap on the corners near the top really stands out.😕

Hi Shayna!! new sub here!!! these TV stands are certainly obsolete now a days! you definately need to be creative when repurposing these types of things!!! your 6 6 year od did a pretty good job filming lol!! good idea keeping the outlets there! this was a really cool way to do something different with something no one uses anymore!! looks sooo cute!
