As an American, I'm nowhere near an expert on this but it's probably the one global hotspot we don't hear much about here in the West that scares me the most. 2 global nuclear-armed regional powers that have 1/3 of the world's population and they have issues between them? Saying yikes is a bit of an understatement.

that's because west cant do much about this
we in west depend on china and india for stuff unlike russia
so if west start to make issue they might shoot themselves in foot
so west ignores all this.

The demographic facts on the ground is that China and Russia’s populations are not only aging, but also declining. Countries in such unfavorable circumstances do reckless, stupid things, e.g., the invasion of Ukraine.

I think people overestimate the importance of China’s rare earth elements. More and more are being discovered elsewhere year by year.

It's kinda worrying but not known to the general public yet. A lot of this push for green energy and stuff is mostly made in china
