There is also now a backlash with the incessant overreach of woke / left wing politics. The silent majority are starting to push back.

We are the light of the world. We need to stand up in faith and bring the truth that dwells within us...for the Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth. We have to let the light shine... even when it might irritate the demons that opress them. We are called to be the salt of the world, speak the truth, and do it graciously.
You are correct, everyone has a platform. Many don’t realize they do, but as disciples of Christ, God has placed us all in a position to witness to the truth.

I've been wondering for a while if the "progressive" values are truly as popular as they seem online. I think many of us are just afraid of getting jumped for expressive our Biblical views on things. So the voices most prominent are just the ones which are most vocal.

I'll tell you a true story - little over a year ago the office share I worked at got broken into. Some thugs broke most of the glass walls designed to let in more sunlight... Messed stuff up, snagged some specific papers out of one of the offices and left the place a wreck. But left phones and computers, tablets...
Luckily it was the middle of the night, like 3 or 4 am so no one was there and no one was harmed, Thank God.
There were a few units on my hall untouched by evil. Those just so happened to be the ones empty or those rented by Christians who openly displayed faith in the space.
I had a Bible on a shelf there and the Fruit of the Spirit quote from Galatians (?) on the wall. Nothing outrageous or even visible from the hall (the glass was frosted for privacy).
A neighbor had prayed with me and his family in his unit. I helped recommend some good schools as they were new in the area.
It was probably coincidence. I'm sure. And I don't know if any of the offices on the other sides of the building that were hit had Christians working in them. Certainly a shame either way, and scary.
But I got the sense while walking over the broken glass near my office, that mine was protected by the Holy Spirit.
And my neighbors'. I couldn't help but wonder anyway.
You don't have to wave a loud flag... Just invite the Presence of Peace and encourage those around us quietly and subtly as feels natural to you. Let the Spirit guide you... And protect you.
God is good , He brings the truth to Life.

I'm an American living in Venezuela and so far we still have religious freedom in this country.
Thank you for speaking up. And speaking truth. There is still a lot to be grateful for in the U.S. And it is incumbent upon us all to help ensure that for the next 4-7 generations, in my humble opinion.
I don't her these guys saying we already are like those countries, just that they recognize a path we may potentially be on that could lead that way, depending on who's at the helm at any given time.
That recognizing even as we stand still free that we could be vulnerable to forces other free countries that were also successful like the one you are in now have previously fallen to might behoove us to protect those freedoms for the future.

If we are moved by the spirit we won't have to worry who is in office because we'll know we are protected by the spirit and supported. That God will fight our battles and will guide our needs to their fruition. That we have a responsibility to vote our own conscience - and each to their own - I ask only that we all vote at all and that each of us ask God privately who we should mark on our ballot.
Meanwhile, if other see us spreading peace, love, compassion, and wisdom no matter who has the office, then they might be so inspired to join us.
We can pray and I hold hope in that.

This is the same principle in confronting false teaching in the church!!! It takes courage to stand up and say NO to false teaching! Even as Christians, we tend to shy away from "negative" topics and tend to embrace "positive" topics. I believe that has been pushed by many leaders more so in our generation than any other. This is an age old problem though. Pretty much ALL of the true prophets of ancient times were rejected and persecuted b/c they preached the TRUE Word of God instead of what people wanted to hear.

Amen! Thank you for your voices! I had followed Pastor Hibbs here and there over the last few years. Started following him more faithfully recently after becoming disenfranchised with my own church. The church got it right during CVID that's what drew us there. But instead of teaching/showing us what God wants us to be doing during these trying times, the sermons came off a calendar. SERIOUSLY! I tried implementing a video series of truth 1st one Charlie Kirk discussing what the position of the church should be during this time. Then wanted to add in testimonials, bring in a taste of the good things God is doing in this out of control world. After my introduction speech, I received a text asking if I would move these moments to the fellowship hall after service. You see there are 2 hold out bitties (not Christian like of me I know) of a group who sat in judgment of other Christians in the church. I text back to the pastor.... the purpose of showing these during the service is in hopes that the Holy Spirit would work in and through those sitting in the pew who need to hear it most.
To say the least... we are without a church, thus the connection with Pastor Hibbs. He is speaking the truth. He is giving guidance on what we need to be doing as Christians in this time. I speak out and up whenever, wherever. I've been in FB jail on numerous occasions and they've goofed with my algorithm. Occasionally I will go on there when I have something important to say BUT, most don't even see it.
I read this book called "They thought they were free." Author escapes me now. An American professor traveled back to Germany a few years after WW2. He wanted to learn how/why/what people knew but were or weren't willing to say. As long as the individuals life wasn't personally being affected by what was transpiring , there was no need to say anything or get involved. That's exactly where we are now. "THEY" know this is true of human nature. The lessons we should have learned from that time in our history.... easily repeated again. If only people would have spoken up then. If only people would be speaking up now. Now is the time. Not later.

Forgiveness overcomes fear because with metanoia we see everyone as brothers in Christ, not enemies. And we expect no one to sacrifice their freedom to speak.

When Pilate asked Jesus if he was king of the Jews, Jesus answered, "So you say,"
(brushing off the question). He added, "For this reason I came, to testify to the truth." (The question Pilate should have asked.)
Jesus answer is my vocal mantra. 'Good for Jesus. it's gold for me...'
Pilate's final comment, "What is truth?" (maybe the 1st use of 'subjective truth')
