Now Gold on MW is officially no more!😭💔 and also R.I.P. to the well known 1458kHz transmitter in Manchester…💔😭 But 1458kHz is still active in London as LycaRadio, a radio station playing Bollywood and Bhangra music….

Bring back Gold on Medium Wave in these area Derby on 945kHz from the Quarndon transmitter, 999kHz in Nottingham from the Trowell transmitter, 1332kHz in Peterborough from the Gunthorpe transmitter, 1548kHz in London from the Saffron Green transmitter and 1557kHz in Northampton from the Kings Heath transmitter

Sadly I don’t see these transmitters ever coming back into use. Unless Ofcom decides to licence another category of stations for AM, but who would realistically apply for such a licence?

Can you do one for Smooth Kent and South East Essex on 603kHz and 1242kHz and Smooth Hampshire 1170kHz and 1557kHz

I don’t think it got to the Midlands very well because 1458 is used by the BBC Asian Network, or WM before that.
