Curtain Hack 1: How To Cut Large Panels Of Fabric

I'm hemming curtains so I needed to measure and cut large panels of fabric to make them fit my windows. I don't like marking and drawing lines on my white curtains and then not having enough space on my table to do this accurately.
I tested these 2 alternative ways of marking and cutting my curtains and I like them both.

I snip about an inch and tear on grain, I make clothes so I finish the edges before constructing.
