I have been extremely busy this whole summer but there hasn’t been much that’s came out for DAP’s other than the Hiby R6 Pro 2 but even with that the coaxial digital adapter is sold separately 😆 and it has a male end not female like the FiiO’s. It’s also USB to Coaxial digital. These companies are making it extremely difficult to go digital into a DSP. I might still do a review on it or just wait for the next one that comes out. It’s been really slow this year for DAP’s.
Hey, quick question. I have a good rear stage subwoofer DD audio subwoofers 2’12s that hits pretty low. Im trying to get into a sql system what would you recommend for mids and highs, all the components speakers i seen have a woofer attached . Would I still need that even with a subwoofer in the trunk.
This is a tough question to answer without knowing specifics of what vehicle a person has. Normally I would say buy a DAP or Amp/DSP but it just depends on what I mentioned above as so many factors come into play these days.
Hi Dave, I have a question: I bought a pair of GB 60s and I let them install by dealer if trust. I have a big problem right now they sound like shit. The Musik sounds like it plays outside of the car and it sounds thin and cold. The polarity is correct but I have no clue why they sound that bad. It almost feels like they have no midrange. The LP Filter is at 3000 hz. The difference to my Hertz MP165.3 in the back is so insane that there has to be something wrong but I don’t know what. How can a 60 dollar speaker be more warm precise and rich than a 500 dollar speaker ? Do you have any Tipps for me ? Have you ever experienced sth like that ? Can it be that they are fake products. But it didn’t seem like it because they produce Mid Base like hell when I gave them 150 watts.

Hi Dave, so nice to see you my friend, very detailed topic with remarkable views. As for DAPS we still prefer Fiio because as you said the digital output and coax is a must and most of the Astell&Kern don't have those options, especially no coax outputs or digital outputs, but some guys here have Ibasso Daps with coax output and it seems to be a good dap but I personally don't know much about Ibasso.. There is another interesting dap Cayiin music player that is also interesting to look at. I thank you for a wonderful car audio talk and I enjoyed watching. Looking forward to more of your secrets😮😎
Hey , fiio is better with use of coaxial cable , i bought the smsl100 po with optical toslink cable for use with my phone directly to dsp but didnt receive it yet , i hope it change better than my old 3.0version bluetooth on my deh 80prs head unit
@@sandwichburger4856 Not the Fiio M11s, it’s extremely bright when using the coaxial digital out and sounds inferior to the original M11. The SMSL PO100 Pro is an excellent device when using your phone or tablet and blows away anything Bluetooth. That being said if your install and tune isn’t correct then it won’t matter what source you’re using.

Some of them have coaxial digital output via USB like the Hiby’s. The FiiO M11s was not so great out of the coaxial digital output.
