I'm not Latino, but having southern parents I grew up eating a lots of beans, so I love beans. White beans, brown beans, red beans with some fresh onion and some cornbread or just a couple slices of bread was the best. Sometimes they would take half the beans and mash them up and put back in the pot wtth the whole beans to thicken up the bean broth.
Peruano/Mayocolba, has been my preferred "frijol" since 1988. Back then, they were not allowed in the States. I was jazzed when it was finally allowed. Hmmmm, riquisimo! Paz be with us all 🙏. "Isa"
I grew up eating frijoles de la olla, with homemade flour tortillas. Now I serve them with avocado, fresh salsa, queso fresco, and sometimes with sopa de fideo.😋 Thank you for today's post. 🥰
Great video 👍🏻😎 Looks so delicious! And yes, I remember my parents say “ There’s food at the house.” Which meant there’s beans. 😊 Buen provecho my friend
I have Peruano beans in the pantry so I’ll be making a pot of your De La Olla beans this weekend Rossana!😋 I won’t forget the pico de gallo and avocado❣️❣️❣️
You can add them to any stewed meat dish, or in sopa. I've also had them raw in a salad. You could Google recipes for them. I like them in Thai recipes.
I love your recipes and made many of them and have been loved by my kin. I must say, I have a problem with the word "authentic". It might be authentic to your family but say its authentic Mexican, that is problematic with me. How can we define that, since we have to include so many tribes; and invading different cultures to Mexico. I see a recipe as a canvas, we all will paint it in our way to suit our lifestyle, and our families palate. I am an American mutt, having Cherokee;German:Spanish:French;Mexican and even Russian. Therefore authentic means a whole wide world
CAN. You cook with your clay pot on a glass top electric stove ?
Beans are so much like home.
If the brand you are using specifies that you can. You may need to use a heat diffuser. I just ordered me one, to be on the safe side. 😊
@@VillaCocina thank you.
I will look into a diffuser so we can use are old pots on our new glass top stove.

You sound Latino at heart. 😉
Sound yummy!
There is something about baked earthenware of all kinds that add so much "sabor"/flavour to all dishes. "Buen provecho"/enjoy. "Isa"

You can add them to any stewed meat dish, or in sopa. I've also had them raw in a salad. You could Google recipes for them. I like them in Thai recipes.

Yes, exactly what Nelson said.
If your man doesn’t react to your cooking the way he reacts to hers, get rid of him! 😅
