- This is my opinion about the 2016 Mercedes Benz E350 sport (follow the video and you will see the minor difference between this and the 2014 e350 and 2015 e350). I have been owning this car for about a month now and I am trying to give you the honest guide to buying this car or opinion (i personally love it). If you guys have any question feel free to comment below as i will try to answer all of them. If you enjoyed this video hit the like button and subscribe. Thank you!
I love my 2012. 150k miles and its never needed new brakes or tires. Just word play. I change them a bit earlier than needed but its often wet and rainy and I haul a lot of children.
Man you did a great job I have the 2016 luxury edition recently purchased enjoying it so far
good concise and practical video covering many bases. Thanks for making it! I learned lots new things!
I am glad you liked it! A subscribe would be very appreciated!
In my opinion this is the best E class but I have one question if you use regular gas on this car will it affect the engine or anything else on the car?
I am not sure. Performance for sure but it might not run on regular at all. My cousin had a 2008 328i and he put regular one time and the car didn't run anymore
Many of the manuals will specify Premium “required” in that case yes you must use premium or you can cause engine damage. Some may say premium “recommended” which You should still use premium but if you use a lower octane occasionally you won’t damage the engine or fuel system. My former company was the primary supplier for 85% of all Mercedes vehicles fuel system components (fuel pump, charcoal canisters fuel tanks, etc)
Sadly not. One thing that we need to always look at is our engine’s compression ratio as a basis for using premium or higher octane petrol Vs regular or lower octane fuel. This M276 engine has a compression ratio of 12:1 and being direct injected would require higher octane fuels to prevent knock. In my car I use a minimum of 95RON euro 4 but in some case I use 97RON euro 4 or even 100RON euro 6. Hope this helps.
Depends. Some have the flex fuel engine
What about Blind-spot detection?
I am not sure what the question is...it does have blind spot detection!
Great review my friend. A quick question, I am in the process of thinking to get one, any major mechanical problems or you've had a pretty good experience overall? Thank you.
I only had it for 5000 miles and so far so good. It was a well mentioned one tho with all the services done at mercedes benz dealership
I wonder what SD card you can put ? My friend have a old 2011 GL350 and he can only put 2GB SD card. Morden mainstream is SDHC/SDXC and I hope it will run normal on these.
I am not sure about that. Never tried. But i did put a dvd with a movie
Decent car……while under manufacturers warranty. After warranty expires, these cars sell for cheap $$.
Bullet proof engines these cars last a long time
Nonsense, the w212 is super reliable if maintained appropriately
@@8MunchenBayern8the thing is most people understand “maintenance” as only putting gas and changing the engine oil every once in a while when they remember, then complain about unreliability.
Exactly! Every car needs more than oil change. They need brakes, including fluid, coolant, spark plugs, transmission oil in some cases, etc
@@throttlechaser541 yup. its important to do differential services, coolant flushes, and full transmission services on luxury vehicles like MB.
Great and informative video. However, I have been trying to figure out how to increase the dash lights. Our 2015 3350 as well as your 2016 does not have the little dial beside the light switch or the dial nob next to the speedometer to increase or dim the dash lights. Do we not have a choice to adjust those?
Thank you! Honestly, i don't remember, and i can not check as i don't have the car anymore. I am sorry
Very competent review
Thank you!
I like the MAIN MENU/COMMAND, wondering if I can replace it on my 2014 w212/facelift model?
I am not sure about that
Thanks I learned some stuff
You are welcome!
2017 version 350 D Amg whats the fuel on a run, not in town, so say about 70 to 90 MPH some say 5lt to 6 /100 and others say around 9ltr /100Klm ? The one I am looking at is 258 BHP a 2017 or so they claim
Thank you for making a good video
I was waiting to hear is it economic car ?
Glad you enjoyed it. A subscribe would be appreciated. In average it does around 22 mpg but only takes premium fuel
My E250 2015 don’t have Navi , push start is with key , rear trunk not powered , don’t have that basket .. how to get this all sorted out ??
On the North American market, cars have different equipment levels compared to other regions. You are probably in Europe and that's why yours doesn't have the same options/configuration as this one
Do your light led strips turn on ?
yes! drl, day time running lights. these are the upgraded/optional headlights
what's needed in order to fit/match NTGs, anyone?
Nice review man!
I prefer the Lexus ES because a Lexus can last you forever and they hold there value VERY well
And because you are not a car guy. Lexus has no character, that's the car people buy when they have money and don't know much about cars
HEY! I HAVE A LEXUS ES
And I have had it for 3 dang years!
It has no problems but it has 75k miles
If you are into the drive of the car you will see most Lexus do not perform on the level of a comparable BMW or Mercedes. The ES isn’t trying to appeal to a driver it’s meant as an entry level luxury car. Lexus IS the standard for reliability. BMW & Mercedes are the world standard in luxury and performance.
Is it turbo charged or not?
Nope. The e400 is
Good job buddy.
Thanks!
You mean to tell me luxury and performance ? With Mercedes and they can’t give you durability seats I am appalled .😳
Do you put premium gasoline in it? Also, what about oil type? Full synthetic?
Yes, only premium gas in mercedes, in all of the models. And yes, full synthetic oil. For mercedes you do oil chang every 10k miles
@@throttlechaser541 thanks!
Also what is your opinion about 2016 vs 2017 E class? I feel like the V6 is a better engine. What do you think?
I am not sure. I had the 2016 e350 and it was nice. When i was looking to buy the s550 i was considering the 2017 e300 as well. I never got to drive one, but i can tell you there is a HUGE difference between the s and the e. Totally different experience. I would get the e300 only if i would be on a budget as the s550 is a more picky car and expensive to own
@@throttlechaser541 Gotcha. Yeah, that’s the only reason I’m not looking into the S class, the maintenance. I can afford to buy it up front but don’t think I can afford to maintain it. My dealer has a 2015 S550 for sale currently fully loaded with 100k miles on it for $25k. Is that a decent price?
I think it is but it will be a hard sell later for the miles. I would avoid one with so many miles...
Great video I normally don’t comment 👏👍
Thank you!
Does it has Apple CarPlay?
Nope! Just Bluetooth
It can be coded in
I've got the 350D night edition and the car is just amazing. 0-60 in 6 seconds and on average 550-600 miles per tank with 52mpg on average if you behave. I think it's an excellent runner. Your 3.5 petrol or Gas, as people call it over there, ain't coming near those numbers (except acceleration) and I think, If i car can't get you at least 500 miles per tank, throw it away.
City drive i get 400 miles and out of city close to 600. You can throw away whatever you want and i am gonna keep mine. You have a bad attitude my friend.
@@throttlechaser541 Just because i have a different opinion to you or disagree with you, I have a bad attitude? Your social skills just suck then.
About the "600" miles you get..... I agree you can get that, if you car would be a manual car and you constantly drive it in neutral down the hill 👍👍
When you think you know them all and your shit doesn't stink, you also become stupid.
Your opinion is very good, thank you. I have 4 days to buy a 2016 E350 and I only have one question, the seller told me that the tires have nitrogen, as you do when you get off, you put air in a gas station or it has to be nitrogen
Regular air. You don't need that nitrogen thing. You will be fine. You just need premium gas if you are in the USA, that is minimum 92 octane
How much will you pay for a 2016 E350?
Depending on the milage from 15k to 20k+ but a nice one with low miles (i mean around 50k miles) is going to be around 20 22k
@@ahmadghazzaoui4906 stay away from Mercedes if u are unable to work on it youself
Find a solid independent Mercedes mechanic and you won’t have to pay super high dealer prices for everything. FCPeuro.com carries OEM quality German car parts with a lifetime replacement warranty. They will even replace your Wear parts for free when they wear out. You only pay for parts once!!
This is 7 Gtronic Plus model, not 7 Gtronic
i really want to trade in my ‘15 Lexus GS350 i just got for one of these. but i’ll be moving out for college and just know any repair would wipe me

Nice review. you seem a bit impatient about mode delay, did you ever drive a truly manual shifting transmission car? THat's delay. Also, can you answer @vinniei4105 question about mechanical problems?
I drove mostly manual cars and i can shift faster than the automatic gearbox on this mercedes. Now i sold the car long time ago and didn't have any mechanical issues with it while i owend it. They say that the e 350 of this generation is a good reliable car, especially thise after 2012. The only issue i had with this car was the steering wheel colum sometimes was getting stuck when you try to adjust the height of it, but with a tap/punch it would get unstuck lol
does it have apple carplay ?
