- When The Fast Saga first began back in 2001, it was about a bunch of edgy street racers who liked to steal large quantities of obsolete consumer electronics. Nowadays, Dom Toretto and the rest of the family are constantly saving the world and doing crazy things like driving cars in space. So how did we get to this? To understand, we need to go back to the beginning and piece it all together. Here’s the Fast and The Furious Timeline in chronological order, updated for 2023 and the release of Fast X.
This timeline includes all of the films and important moments from the Fast Saga - 2001's The Fast and the Furious, the Hobbs and Shaw spin-off and everything through, Fast and the Furious 9, a.k.a. Fast 9, a.k.a. F9 as we prepare for Fast X.
Check out our Fast and the Furious timeline for all the details of Vin Diesel's Dom Toretto and Paul Walker's Brian O'Conner, just the start of the Toretto family - A Fast Family - even though the actual Torreto family was already a thing. He forgot to mention that Tego and Rico met Dom when he was in jail back when he was younger. This was shown in Fast 9. This explains how Dom understood Portuguese in Fast Five.

Tego and Rico are not part of the main cast. They are pretty much backup characters.

Dom understood the words that Reyes' henchman was saying during the train heist scene in Fast Five and he was talking Portuguese. I'm guessing Dom understood the language BECAUSE OF HIM MEETING TEGO AND RICO WHEN HE WAS YOUNGER, which makes them relevant to the plot imo.

One thing that still doesn’t make sense with the timeline how long has Elena been pregnant with Dom’s kid after finding out that Letty was alive

Actually, they have a mistake in the timeline. Elena was pregnant in Fast 6, in 2013, but didn't know about it yet. She learned later while Dom got back with Letty and didn't want to tell him. Baby Brian was born in 2014. So, Fast 8 takes place in 2015, after Fast 7, and not in 2017 as they say.
There's a movie called Better Luck Tomorrow that shows Han's origin too, It's not canon but that's where the character was first used

Exactly the baby should have been a 4 year old kid.
Because it doesn't happen 4 years later. It's a mistake in this timeline. Elena was pregnant during Fast 6 in 2013, Baby Brian was born in 2014. So Fast 8 takes place a few months after Tokyo Drift and Fast 7. And Fast 9 takes place roughly 4 years after Fast 8.
The only Fast and Furious that make sense and really matters are the 1st and Tokyo drift

You’re wrong about the year that Fast Five took place. In Fast X, when they show scenes of Fast Five it states it was 10 years ago, meaning it took place in 2013.

@@ozzyjou Not anymore according to the latest movie. In the opening scenes it states “10 years ago” and then they show scenes from Fast Five. So unless Fast X timeline is in 2021, then it’s wrong and Fast Five takes place in 2013.
