  • In Poland, this man is a legend for the way he plays squash: diving and getting up super-quick is his art form.
His name is Grzegorz "Tiger" Sowa and he plays in the M50+ category.
These are just a couple of dives from his match in the Polish Masters Championships. Enjoy!

I like how he eventually warmed up enough to take his sweater off.

For guy pointing out the risk of injury. Thanks. That is understood.
The larger point is that if he is having fun and giving it his all, that is all that matters. Yea, it is not the safest play to play but if it works for him, why not.
    Loved this video guys ❤️

I jumped to reach for a lobbed ball. It still cleared my outstretched racket. "But it will come off the back wall. I can still get it." thinks I, still in midair and I try to turn before landing. End of playing squash. Nearly the end of walking...torn left medial ligament. I was 55.... good run really, but I do wish I'd not been so ambitious.

Uncle had kinesiology tape on his adductors. This is the muscle group most impacted by this sport. Hence uncle should not jump around so much.

@@gordoncampbell4706 that's true. It's a very addictive sport. I have been playing this sport for last 12 years, but the most efficient players don't have to jump around so much. Injuries at this age may result in permanent disabilities. Hence one should definitely avoid risk of injuries specially at this age at all costs.

@@1985abhishekson I have played for over 30yrs, teaching squash for 10yrs and still rehabbing from quadriceps tear one year ago. That's the good part, the worst is when you can't play, ouch!

I am a masters squash champion and a junior squash coach. It is exciting to watch this player fling himself around the court. However, it is a dangerous way to play squash for younger and especially older players. The sport of squash is played most effectively in an upright. Paul Coll and Miguel Rodriquez are anomalies. Play hard. Play safe. Play less to play longer.

Like everything, there's a technique to it. Anomalies can gain advantage. If you feel it in you, go for it!

Its all fun and looks great until he tears ip a knee, elbow, thumb, etc... If this match is worth $100,000 that might be one thing, but if you can win without going down, why go down?
