I have a 2019 Mazda CX-5 with the 10 speaker Bose, one of the best sound systems I’ve had in a car so far. You can crank this thing as loud as it can go and the sound stays crisp and clear and it never distorts and the bass absolutely bumps. I love it
Really impressed. Mazda are a brand that seems to always be improving, even if it is in little ways. Keep thinking how cool it'll be if they did a RWD 3 now they've got those platforms.
@@Ryukomytoy People would love that, and it would honestly sell out, they have the potential to compete and actually win with the m340i's, S5's and C43's
Was able to spend two week in a 22 Mazda3 sedan with this Bose system. It is truly extraordinary and with the small cabin size and front center speaker, it becomes part of the overall premium driving experience Mazda is gunning for. The other thing is the cabin is extremely quiet at speed adding to the quality. Our VW GLI has the Beats system so it was interesting to contrast the two. Had some time with a very nice Burmeister in in a Mercedes GLB, and while good the road noise in that thing really diminished the experience. Great video. Truly agree that this sound experience is one of the best regardless of class and price.
Just bought a 23 Carbon Sedan yesterday. Didn’t really test (but should have) the sound system during the test drive. Got it home and sat in the driveway last night setting up preferences, getting a feel for things, etc and tested out the Bose. I put on some music that has a good rhythm drive to it but not crazy and playing it at moderate (less than 50% volume, with bass flat) and there was a very noticeable rattle in the rear of the vehicle. Hopped in the back seat and realized it is the headliner and right C pillar trim rattling. Very annoying. I’d fully expect this to happen if I was cranking some bass tracks, but not with what I was playing and at that volume level. Plan on contacting the dealer, but expecting them to “not be able to replicate the issue”.
When I heard "lossless uncompressed WAV files ... USB stick" and saw chapters for different kinds of music, I knew you knew what you were doing :) Instant like and subscribe ! This is such an important type of review ... and increasingly rare these days. Most reviewers mention "Android Auto ... Too bad you're in North America, coz the cars I'm interested in (Europe) aren't available there :(
Wow the sound of the interior is amazing! I am buying a 2022 hatchback in July. I have a 2009 Mazda 3 and runs perfect, it’s at 264,000K and the mechanic is still good, since I had it over 2 years I haven’t fixed anything expensive on it still.
Just got a cx-5 with the bose system, nice video :) Can't wait to pick it up in a few days :) Im a rock/metal guy so it's nice to see that it sounds great in this genre as well.
I have this car and I love the Bose system. It’s always impressing me. I test drove an Integra and wasn’t as impressed with the ELS 3D system but I think settings needed to be adjusted. This generation of Bose in Mazda3 is no joke.
@@smiddysmidton8313 Do you have evidence to back that up? Do you understand that only certain Mazda models have the new generation of Bose audio? It’s also possible that the ELS system for the Integra is lesser than the ones in their more expensive vehicles. I only got to experience it for a few minutes while I have years of experience with the new generation Bose in the Mazda3 and similar models.
The Mazda 3 wasn't on my radar for a potential next car, but after seeing this review of the audio system, I will have to check it out! One recommendation I would make, and maybe you already do this on the member reviews, is to use a db meter for giving an idea of road noise. I've been using a cheap one I got off Amazon and it helps me to properly gauge if a car I'm checking out has more or less road noise than my current car.
My friend let me borrow his Mazda 3 while I was covering for him doing a delivery job for a week, and MAN. The speakers were so good. The sound goes REALLY high on it was just buttery to my ears. I really want a Mazda 3. After seeing your Hyundai Elantra review I'd rather get a Mazda 3 when I know for sure the Sound system is actually good from using it before. I fuckin loved it. I miss the speakers every day 😭
Thanks for the video! I've been looking everywhere for this. I'm based in Europe and wanted a Mazda 3 2022 in top-trim level (Called "Cosmo" here), but unfortunately they can't deliver it with the Bose system because of supply chain issues. So it comes with a Clarion system with same amount of speakers... However, I found a demo Mazda 3 from 2021 that has gone under 500km on the odometer with the Bose system. Being a demo it's also cheaper than buying new.
I know this is not something that is usually done, but has Daily Motor considered reviewing the base non-Bose system. It has the same speaker speakers in the same locations minus the center channel which actually provides a more natural sound anyways. The missing sub can easily be added aftermarket. It has the same sound settings except a much more flexible 13 band equalizer with +-9 capability.
Dude...the "Base" system is incredible. I am going from a select trim to Carbon...the 13 band eq was killer , I bought a 8 inch Skar sub and iut was perfect. Oh and also, the speakers in the base are Pioneer! Made just fopr that system

Sounds rather good, a bit heavy on the bass. Better than Camry's JBL 9-speaker system that is in my 2023 Camry XSE V6 as all the sound is up front and the woofer in the back just speakers not evenly placed as surround sound.
I guess my standards for bass/subwoofer are higher than most because based off the comments here I’m in the minority in my opinion that the subwoofer part of this audio is pretty SUB par teehee.
