Stoked to hear this Dark Star
Such a long, long time to be gone, and a short time to be there!
That space segment with Murray sounds like what might have happened if John Coltrane had lived into the electric jazz era. Phenomenal!
Did run w/Silberman some We had fun guessing the opener set 2-Easy da ! That Murray Bird thing was like WOW-what was that! So hey Now.
One can still hear the colors emanating from the music today
Well said.👍 It always got me deep when I would feel into the music and realize what I was hearing was a direct connection to the magic of the 60's and everything that came before. Incredible.
Was at this show. Talking with friend about best shows ... we both started in 91. He didn't attend, only time either of us caught dark star. both saw about 30 shows. I'll never forget it, crowd erupted, girl slapped me in the face with a handful of glitter, was like time slowed down and the air was sparkling. I thought Murray was Branford . =p
Not usually a big fan of 90s Dead but I know there were some fantastic shows from that era. This is definitely one of them.
'93 was an especially good year!
Wow, all these new shows on UA-cam. I was at this one and two others this run. Saw the Dead w/ Branford in 1991 at the Garden then Murray this show. Boy was I lucky.
Yeah seriously at this point is like better than archive
Cheers everyone!
I know !!! it's like Rock and Roll ! Hoochie Koo mama!!!
Great to see this again 28 years later, Also was able to catch David Murray with JGB 2 months later at MSG.
My fav Franklins. Had a great copy on tape back in the day.
David Murray on this night was the best guest the GD ever had. I had tapes of this show 2 weeks after it happened and it rearranged everything a Dead guest could be. He wasn't even a guest that night. He was just a member of the Grateful Dead.
First time listening to this..."Bird Song" just blew my fucking mind!
Yah?
Shepherd's Chapel Network !!!!!!! Chapter by Chapter / Verse by Verse !!!!!!!
It really is striking how rapidly Garcia deteriorated from here to ‘95. He looks relatively decent here and is clearly present and alert and playing pretty well. The ‘94 Garden shows weren’t bad either but he clearly didn’t look as good as here and then come ‘95 it appeared like he had aged 10yrs by the time that summer tour started. I’m glad we had him for as long as we did though. Special man.
My feelings exactly. Couldn't be more accurate. Long live JG and the Grateful Dead!
Gawd, that's DAVID MURRAY! I LOVE HIS SESSIONS WITH THE DEAD!
First video I've seen of him with the boys, though, thanks extremely much!
Great recording
I just listened to the version on archive , a nd this one is better !!! and we can talk and meet friends this way this better, is crazy. Everyone on these Grateful Dead platforms is so cool and fun to possibly meet I'm going to be coming up from Fort Lauderdale Florida to Colorado anybody in between call
The only shame is ya can't hear David Murray during Easy Answers, which might shed light (beyond Jerry not always being Jerry during the last 2 years of his life on the bandstand) on why Jerry really chose not to take a solo during the solo.
It was a really great show🤖
Took me 3 days of intense listening to thoroughly digest this masterpiece show. Many thanks to all involved, esp the band and David Murray
to see this 30 years later...
your time and effort to spread the music far and wide it is highly appreciated.
much mahalo...
What A Long Strange Trip It’s Been
gotta love the dead
Thanks Kevin!!!
to see this 25 years later...
your time and effort to spread the music far and wide it is highly appreciated.

Oh did you guys debate about who it what would be the opener??? that's a really interesting. . . cheers
Whoever put this up it's like you're practically a God to us !!! thank you from the woo kee
i was there!
Can I see some of your great music videos x great times
Thank you for this! Just found it today and it’s the one and only GD show I ever saw. Can’t wait to crank it this weekend ⚡️
Oh my goodness. I've been waiting to see this show again. I was blown away. It was the last killer show I saw if I remember correctly. Thank you so fn much !!!!!!!
Murray gives me chills on "Estimated Prophet."
I so appreciate your love for the Dead❤️. Always brightens my day☀️ Thank you
I was there. Each show that run, this one the last of that run. Shroomin. Confused at first - Branford? No. Clarence? No. Was a Wednesday. I probably worked the lunch shift as a Waiter at Giggles on 40th & 6th. Probably had to be in the next morning, too. They were only open Mon-Fri. To be a strong 30yr old again!
Thanks, man! I missed this one and it’s noice
thank you
I still feel bad for sneaking into this show especially since it was a rainforest benefit...
I just got an early Christmas present!!!
no thumbs down must be good jammin even if his heads down still two thumbs up
What a GREAT DAY THIS WAS !!! Thanks for the forgotten Memories 🙃 wasn't there a Giant Gorilla in a red tye dye on top of the MSG ?! All the years combine after a while 😋 Music started
Peace Love Health n Happiness to ALL ✌️💕🎶🍀✨🌈⚡🌹🤤
'93 was almost a bounce back year and when it seemed like Vince was actually "getting it." There are some really solid '93 shows and I had so much hope they would pull through and find the promised land once again. Sadly, they didn't and it was all downhill from there.
'93 was a great year. A mini peak. Jerry & JGB summer tour was fire as well.
WTH!! Serious? Who the hell was the tech that set the mic for the legendary David Murray? One of the greatest Jazz saxophonist in the past 50 years-- not to mention, Modern and Avant Gard -- and you, basically, give him NO mic! Piss poor, dude...Piss poor. What an insult to one of the finest musicians in Modern American music.
PHIL
ZONE!
Zawinol?
his 93 guitar sounded so awful lol
Better clean that wax outta your ears friend. '93 Jerry was fire! 🔥
