Been following Bigbang since '07. I'm 30 now, about the same age as these guys. Have loved all their work both as a group and the solo. It's like seeing and hearing my old buddies again. These guys are called kings of K-pop for a reason.
As a VIP, this song is really painful. If you know what they've been through... No scenes of them together, no chorus, 4 member chairs and 1 leader(director) chair, its ready for them to sit on but they didn't.. its an incomplete song in overall. It is missing something. And real VIPs knows what is it. 🥺💔 Bigbang made me happy with their comeback but ruined me at the same time as well..
GD is still out there, teary eyed, longing for all of them to be back together. Taeyang's ship has sailed somewhere and flowers are blooming on it, which signifies new life he found with his family now. Daesung is somewhere with someone (probably it represents Seungri.) And T.O.P has already moved on. He decided to be on his own, hence why it looked like he's on the moon. Great reaction though ❤️

He literally said "It will be quite a awhile, before you'll see TOP of BIGBANG again" he express a lot of love for the team and fans but he's finding his new self and new music which differs from BIGBANG. Its really a touching interview (as a long time fan since 2008) you can check it out to understand the situation even more.

Him leaving the possibility for a reunion was him saying it's not that he hated it. He said he had messages in the song for us. The phrase "FOR LIFE". I think he wanted to say that in order to live, he need to leave.
They're killing the charts right now so I hope they see the support and will continue. I definitely need more upbeat music from them and don't want to see them go with a sad song. I think they'll focus on solos for now especially TOP. GD represents summer so maybe we'll also get a gd comeback soon...

First its Youngbae with spring and you can see lots of flowers blooming, followed by Daesung with summer with the blueish tone and clouds in the room and lots of light coming in from outside of the room, and then GD with the reddish fall color and an umbrella for the rain in the fall, and then TOP with winter snow. I have been with BIGBANG since the start of middle school which is around their Fantastic Baby MV, and now I am already in college. Let me tell you, I cried so hard upon this release, a lot has happened but yet they were still able to resonate with me after such a long time. I know now looking back at their old songs, many newcomers might see their songs as very experimental or very odd even with their fashion and I do agree, but back then, they were really the trendsetters that opened up to these new experimental sounds and fashion that seems normal nowadays. Of course, I'm not comparing or saying that BIGBANG is the only way of KPOP and others just follow them (cause I know there are many groups with different colors and flavors, and things have changed a lot) but they were a statement in the scene. But yeah, this got me so emotional but somehow It felt right, It felt like a parting song but also the kind of feeling when you're moving on to new things you know. Also, on Weverse It seems the Treasure boys (Jihoon, Doyoung, Haruto) are also bawling to this track and mv so I'm not alone haha😭
I think this is what people don't see with BIGBANG. For casual listeners, they're always the crazy party people but when they pull out these slow emotional songs it shows a different depth to them. I will never regret the decade+ I spent stanning BIGBANG. For me, it would always be the highlight of my youth. I've met so many people and experienced so many different things through BIGBANG. I would always look back fondly, to our "golden youth".
COPY The lyrics were beautiful, and the mv was very symbolic from Daesung leaving behind his past/younger self and representing his new beginning to GD reminiscing the good days in front of VIPs being the director/leader of bigbang but his chair was tarnished and getting old, to TOP being alone and far away from earth as he was alienated by the community he loved most (but the earth being lit up with yellow lights to represent VIPs), to Taeyang being the only one in the spring of his life surrounded by yellow flowers >to represent VIPs (he's newly wed, had a baby, enjoying his new life so he has no past to "leave behind"). The four empty chairs, the four flowers gathered together. The shipwreck, the old/broken stage, the cold lonely outer-space, the emptiness behind a camera >that is bigbang's truth. We never got a scene of them together, and that is showing us something. I haven't even gotten a good look/began to unfold the mv, but it was beautiful. Let alone, the song is just a masterpiece. Thank you again BigBang for blessing our ears. This was emotional, and I myself can relate to a lot of it.
Yeah, I'm too emotional to say much but it's exactly what I expected not in a predictable way but the emotional aspect. All I can say is it really feels like they understand themselves right now. I don't know what their plans are although I've heard more music is coming l know it'll be incredible.
The nostalgia at hearing their voices. It's been such a long time since we got a bigbang song, this hit me right in the feels... Especially since it feels like this will be the last bb song for whiiiiile (t.o.p seems so done with the kpop industry). But considering all the bs they went through and how the public treated them, I'm not exactly surprised. I'm so happy we got something, but at the same time it feels so bittersweet. Ive been a VIP since 2007 and Im 29 now. This comeback brings me to tears. Because Bigbang is part of our Youth. Good old days indeed. Some of us may have fallen in love to other Kgroups, some may have forgotten their Glorious days, but BIGBANG will always have a special place in our hearts. We will always treasure all moments, songs, and concerts with them. Its been a rough road recently. They went through a lot but its been a wonderful journey with them. And I thank BIGBANG AND VIPs for being part of my life.

I didn’t expect their comeback to be a dance track after everything they’ve gone through, maybe that person in the chair and the one chair empty was representing our Panda. That's what I felt too the moment I've learned BIGBANG will have a comeback, I thought I was too late. I became a fan of them in late of 2019 and their music is really beyond any kpop groups .
I see this in two ways honestly. (I have to for my sanity see it in a positive light too, I don't wanna believe it's an ending). 1. The first way is the obvious first look metaphor of things going seperately and ending. 2. The second one is that I feel like they've struggled through their years in their own right, in their own worlds, seperate from each other, not together just yet, but will eventually come together again since they left that old self shed away. There's a few things to support this idea that they'll come back again. That's that T.O.P stated he's back, which is great news! Another thing is that they've always said bigbang is 5, even with the ending 5 lines, it feels like they're likely going to wait on Seungri, maybe? If not my bad, maybe it is a farewell since they can't get all 5 together again :( Another last hope as a ditch effort to my optimism really, is the background behind GD, it says "Happier days are -" and the last word isn't visible. On first glance you'd think it's GONE, but looking around it from the angles they let us see, they never really reveal it and it feels like sometimes it's a COM, so COMING. HAPPIER DAYS ARE COMING. So maybe, just hopeful here, that they're really going to have a real comeback this year or next year :')

I've been a VIP for like 16 years since I was 11 and now I feel old af. Its been a long journey and they've been through a lot personally and in industry wise. It was one heck of a rollercoaster ride throughout all these years. I think we've been through it all as a fandom honestly. But I think what made me stick through as a VIP for so long is 10000% their music it has some sort of emotional effect on you whether its a more upbeat song or a slow ballad vibe. I think one word that can describe this is bittersweet. So it is natural if this is making you sad. For most long time VIPs, we've seen this group go through everything and grow with them too. The MV and lyrics is like a camera roll of memories we have with BIGBANG while at the same time leading us to a new chapter of their lives. This is like an Ode to our Youths. Each of them has a story to tell on their parts but for me, TOP's part is so emotional, symbolic, and just a cathartic release. The way he removed his mask after the lines and while singing "For Life" is like him showing the k-media platforms who censored his face with towers for so long that he is back and he doesnt need to hide his face anymore. For years, people has condemned him for the past issues and even used his good looks as a weapon to attack him to the point he needs to hide his face all the time. He is better and he is choosing life, to live it freely and with happiness. 💛 Thank you for reacting to this comeback.. BIGBANG and 2NE1 are like my parents in kpop. They're the reason why i'm listening to kpop. I'm just 19 yrs old but i've been a VIP for 9 years now. So hearing this is definitely something that makes me happy and sad at the same time to like experienced this now after what they've been through because i've seen those tough times. This was definitely a very special comeback that is solely for VIPs like me. I'm also glad seeing a lot of reactors trying to get to know BIGBANG now eventhough it might be late but actually it's never too late to stan bigbang. I actually didn't feel like this would be a Goodbye song but more of like them saying goodbye to their past traumas and starting a new life just like what TOP said in his part. i also thought that TOP would keep his mask on the whole video that's why when he removed it and look at the camera I may have just died there. TOP looks honestly so hurt, with his facial expression and his lyrics which hurt me also, especially because I've seen what they have gone through the past years and how much it affected them but TOP saying that he'll leave it all behind and start a new life, I definitely feel happy and proud for him because he deserves it. also with GD's part for me, the vibe that I got was that he's just sad and angry that this happen to them by the way he reminisces about the glorious days that they had which I understand because of all they've been through. if big bang disbands, i feel like that'll definitely be an era of kpop starting to come to a close. i feel like the second and third gen groups are the backbone of kpop at the moment, kind of being the main things keeping kpop feeling authentic. once exo, bts, big bang, twice blackpink, ikon, shinee, and snsd (officially) disband, i personally don't think kpop will feel the same anymore. we already (or at least i did) felt a little bit of that loss when got7 disbanded. i'll be happy for the members of these groups whenever they do whatever they're going to do once that time inevitably comes, but once the second and third gen heavy hitters start fading away, it'll just be fourth, fifth, sixth etc gen. y'know, these newer and younger groups. and they're doing really well so far, but you can't deny the feel is so different. the newer groups are doing amazing, but nobody could have the solid and just more carefree feel of second and third gen groups.

I've been a bigbang fan since 2009, I was 13 years old. Though SHINee replay was my first kpop song. Bigbang made me stick with listening to kpop, they got me through some rough times. As a VIP, this made me so emotional. It doesn't sound like a goodbye to Bigbang but a moving forward type of track. Whatever it might be, I respect their desicion. It gave me the same vibe as Last Dance (which I cried so much when it came out). I'm just happy back and seem to be together, though separated in the mv

GD is still out there, teary eyed, longing for all of them to be back together. Taeyang's ship has sailed somewhere and flowers are blooming on it, which signifies new life he found with his family now. Daesung is somewhere with someone (probably it represents Seungri.) And T.O.P has already moved on. He decided to be on his own, hence why it looked like he's on the moon.

He literally said "It will be quite a awhile, before you'll see TOP of BIGBANG again" he express a lot of love for the team and fans but he's finding his new self and new music which differs from BIGBANG. Its really a touching interview (as a long time fan since 2008) you can check it out to understand the situation even more.

Him leaving the possibility for a reunion was him saying it's not that he hated it. He said he had messages in the song for us. The phrase "FOR LIFE". I think he wanted to say that in order to live, he need to leave.

I have been with BIGBANG since the start of middle school which is around their Fantastic Baby MV, and now I am already in college. Let me tell you, I cried so hard upon this release, a lot has happened but yet they were still able to resonate with me after such a long time. I know now looking back at their old songs, many newcomers might see their songs as very experimental or very odd even with their fashion and I do agree, but back then, they were really the trendsetters that opened up to these new experimental sounds and fashion that seems normal nowadays. Of course, I'm not comparing or saying that BIGBANG is the only way of KPOP and others just follow them (cause I know there are many groups with different colors and flavors, and things have changed a lot) but they were a statement in the scene. But yeah, this got me so emotional but somehow It felt right, It felt like a parting song but also the kind of feeling when you're moving on to new things you know.
Also, on Weverse It seems the Treasure boys (Jihoon, Doyoung, Haruto) are also bawling to this track and mv so I'm not alone haha😭
I was also a stan around their Fantastic Baby song, and now I'm still a YG stan. Still support them and their juniors, like Treasure too.

I think this is what people don't see with BIGBANG. For casual listeners, they're always the crazy party people but when they pull out these slow emotional songs it shows a different depth to them.
I will never regret the decade+ I spent stanning BIGBANG. For me, it would always be the highlight of my youth. I've met so many people and experienced so many different things through BIGBANG. I would always look back fondly, to our "golden youth".

COPY The lyrics were beautiful, and the mv was very symbolic from Daesung leaving behind his past/younger self and representing his new beginning to GD reminiscing the good days in front of VIPs being the director/leader of bigbang but his chair was tarnished and getting old, to TOP being alone and far away from earth as he was alienated by the community he loved most (but the earth being lit up with yellow lights to represent VIPs), to Taeyang being the only one in the spring of his life surrounded by yellow flowers >to represent VIPs (he's newly wed, had a baby, enjoying his new life so he has no past to "leave behind"). The four empty chairs, the four flowers gathered together. The shipwreck, the old/broken stage, the cold lonely outer-space, the emptiness behind a camera >that is bigbang's truth. We never got a scene of them together, and that is showing us something.
I haven't even gotten a good look/began to unfold the mv, but it was beautiful.

But this release is very painful, it’s bittersweet. Whatever! welcome to the fandom you’ll never regret discovering them just dig in and enjoy their music. You’re not too late. That's what I felt too the moment I've learned BIGBANG will have a comeback, I thought I was too late. I became a fan of them in late of 2019 and their music is really beyond any kpop groups .

I see this in two ways honestly. (I have to for my sanity see it in a positive light too, I don't wanna believe it's an ending).
1. The first way is the obvious first look metaphor of things going seperately and ending.
2. The second one is that I feel like they've struggled through their years in their own right, in their own worlds, seperate from each other, not together just yet, but will eventually come together again since they left that old self shed away.
There's a few things to support this idea that they'll come back again. That's that T.O.P stated he's back, which is great news! Another thing is that they've always said bigbang is 5, even with the ending 5 lines, it feels like they're likely going to wait on Seungri, maybe? If not my bad, maybe it is a farewell since they can't get all 5 together again :(
Another last hope as a ditch effort to my optimism really, is the background behind GD, it says "Happier days are -" and the last word isn't visible. On first glance you'd think it's GONE, but looking around it from the angles they let us see, they never really reveal it and it feels like sometimes it's a COM, so COMING. HAPPIER DAYS ARE COMING. So maybe, just hopeful here, that they're really going to have a real comeback this year or next year :')

I've been a VIP for like 16 years since I was 11 and now I feel old af. Its been a long journey and they've been through a lot personally and in industry wise. It was one heck of a rollercoaster ride throughout all these years. I think we've been through it all as a fandom honestly. But I think what made me stick through as a VIP for so long is 10000% their music it has some sort of emotional effect on you whether its a more upbeat song or a slow ballad vibe. I think one word that can describe this is bittersweet. So it is natural if this is making you sad. For most long time VIPs, we've seen this group go through everything and grow with them too. The MV and lyrics is like a camera roll of memories we have with BIGBANG while at the same time leading us to a new chapter of their lives. This is like an Ode to our Youths.
Each of them has a story to tell on their parts but for me, TOP's part is so emotional, symbolic, and just a cathartic release. The way he removed his mask after the lines and while singing "For Life" is like him showing the k-media platforms who censored his face with towers for so long that he is back and he doesnt need to hide his face anymore. For years, people has condemned him for the past issues and even used his good looks as a weapon to attack him to the point he needs to hide his face all the time. He is better and he is choosing life, to live it freely and with happiness. 💛

BIGBANG and 2NE1 are like my parents in kpop. They're the reason why i'm listening to kpop. I'm just 19 yrs old but i've been a VIP for 9 years now. So hearing this is definitely something that makes me happy and sad at the same time to like experienced this now after what they've been through because i've seen those tough times. This was definitely a very special comeback that is solely for VIPs like me. I'm also glad seeing a lot of reactors trying to get to know BIGBANG now eventhough it might be late but actually it's never too late to stan bigbang.
I actually didn't feel like this would be a Goodbye song but more of like them saying goodbye to their past traumas and starting a new life just like what TOP said in his part. i also thought that TOP would keep his mask on the whole video that's why when he removed it and look at the camera I may have just died there. if big bang disbands, i feel like that'll definitely be an era of kpop starting to come to a close. i feel like the second and third gen groups are the backbone of kpop at the moment, kind of being the main things keeping kpop feeling authentic. once exo, bts, big bang, twice blackpink, ikon, shinee, and snsd (officially) disband, i personally don't think kpop will feel the same anymore. we already (or at least i did) felt a little bit of that loss when got7 disbanded. i'll be happy for the members of these groups whenever they do whatever they're going to do once that time inevitably comes, but once the second and third gen heavy hitters start fading away, it'll just be fourth, fifth, sixth etc gen. y'know, these newer and younger groups. and they're doing really well so far, but you can't deny the feel is so different. the newer groups are doing amazing, but nobody could have the solid and just more carefree feel of second and third gen groups.

I've been a bigbang fan since 2009, I was 13 years old. Though SHINee replay was my first kpop song. Bigbang made me stick with listening to kpop, they got me through some rough times. As a VIP, this made me so emotional. It doesn't sound like a goodbye to Bigbang but a moving forward type of track. Whatever it might be, I respect their desicion. It gave me the same vibe as Last Dance (which I cried so much when it came out). I'm just happy back and seem to be together, though separated in the mv
