Only need to use compass on quads, not recommended for fixed wing. Planes only fly forwards so the GPS can handle direction and RTL etc.
do you change rates in the servos/outputs tab or in the PID tuning tab for manual mode? im so confused
Get your plane setup to fly well using 100% rates first.
So can serial connection for telemetry say to a vista camera go over soft serial?
Yes, there are a few different firmware versions for the F411-WSE to cater for more connections like DJI
Ok so i set my modell up, and put the nav rth mode on a switch, range is working in the configurator. However when i tested it on the ground with a 10 sat lock it just always says acro mode on my osd when it should be in rth. Is that normal if the model is not flying?
Yes normal, has to be flying and more than some minimum distance away for RTH to activate.
@@AndrewNewton okay, thanks!
Do can setup cam tilt from motor 2 in this flight control? Because i have volantex phoenix S 1600
No. Motor outputs can't be converted to servo control AFAIK
@@AndrewNewton so how to adding cam tilt in 6 signyal in this0 flight control?

Plug flaps into the F411, add a line in the inav mixer - RC Channel 5, then set up ch5 in your radio as the flaps.

need some help - having issue with gps after setting up the gps indicator in inav shows up as red. its wired correct have followed all other inav setup as shown but no luck ?
Assign a UART to GPS in the ports page, Turn GPS on in the config page, Check Total messages is counting up in the GPS page. GPS needs battery to be connected.
Same problem. I know I have the correct setup, I have lots of other FC boards (Matek and others using iNav and Arduplane) but can't get the GPS symbol to turn green!
Also, a 4-pin Dubro connector from the GPS prevents a micro-USB plug from being inserted. Used a 3-pin instead and picked up a ground on the pin below, bad design!
Not that it matters anyway because the board doesn't register the GPS, so cant be used. Waste of money!!
@@gerryw99 ended up being bad connector on gps board soldered direct to board solved the issue
I have the 411wse with the latest firmwares inav 4.0 but dont get all the flight modes?
Which modes are missing?
@@AndrewNewton cruz horizon angle
@@dalovehall Unhide unused modes? Make sure GPS is enabled
@@AndrewNewton thanks for responding yes the gps was off 🤦
@@dalovehall That should only hide the nav modes, not angle and horizon. But great you have it sort
Hello, mayb u can help me out. I cant get gps coordinates from the plane showing in taranis radio or crossfire tx. Using ctossfire lite with nano rx and matek f411wse.
Uart 1: gps
Uart 2: serial
Softserial 1: tbs smart audio
Softserial 2: smartport
Dont know what else i need to do.
Or mayb u can send me ur PORT settings in inav
Dont know about crossfire
@@AndrewNewton got it figured out, thankx
Why do you use air mode it seems to be something more related to quads than airplanes I don't see what it does?
Absolutely essential for fixed wing if you ever want to glide with throttle at zero. Air mode means the PIDs are still active on the servos at zero throttle.
Does the osd have an arrow pointing back home?
Yes I always include that in the OSD
hello sir, there doesn't seem to me a target in inav 2.0.0, is it only in 2.0.1?
Most likely. You have to use the iNav firmware that is released after the FCB is released.
where i can get the SLI codes for wing sir? i fallow evryting in this bidio bot i have no motor arming up
Do you mean iNav files? drive.google.com/drive/folders/1v1Mrqu5aA-SYWFqymqW1Yn3jkkmBqtt-
@@AndrewNewton This is awesome .. thnx Andrew for sharing this !
How do you setup smartport ?
Video up tomorrow that shows how.
can you tune it in the field? if it has osd tune like betaflight then i want one
It does have Auto trim and Auto tune
hi andrew is it posibke to have your osd setups so i can just paste them in please
No problem it's included in this folder drive.google.com/drive/folders/1v1Mrqu5aA-SYWFqymqW1Yn3jkkmBqtt-
How do u turn off the speed sensor
Deselect it in the OSD setup page
I think your inav configurator is old (unupdated)
I'm on 2.2.1
