After so many years, i finally caught one of my favorite Trout to catch, Lightning Trout. This species of trout is so beautiful it reminds me of koi fish.
Hey do you think trout fishing would be good there tomorrow August 65 degrees in morning with boat? Any tips? We been skunked at so many lakes this year with water levels low
They stop planting trout awhile back. I haven't tried renting a boat at Chabot, however, some of my friends talk about fish by the dam. On the other hand, I fish at Los Vaqueros last Friday, the water there is actually cold, some anglers caught some hold ever trout. We were at South cove. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Hehe! The best thing sometimes is to get there when they plant.
If you chain them thru the lip and not the gills they will live longer and stay fresher. Nice Catch.
