I work for a very large tech company where I am the lead of our Women's group. We ran a drive to collect and donate YA and Children's books written by Black Women in the past 2 years. Just in my building, I have bought and collected about 30 books. We are donating them to two local libraries.
I just finished the Ninth House thanks to yours and other booktubers' suggestions. I'll probably pick up the Fifth Season; it's been sitting on my shelf a long time. Your vlogs are always great!

i took the cover of the book, and for the back, i picked out a color that would match and printed it out. then I cut and glued little squares of thick paper to make the pages. i then glued the cover on and attached it to an earring hook. sorry its a bit hard to explain it via comments
Hannibal!!! Literally one of my favorite TV shows ever! I've actually started reading the books, and they are a lot different from the series, but the writing is really really good, I would recommend them! (I can only vouch for the first two)

How they picked the costumes for Hannibal's character were amazing. 10/10 would love to dress like that every day for no reason at all other than to be fancy af.

YES!! I thought I was weird for not being able to just sit down and listen to audio book without doing anything. I used to play a lot of video games and while doing that I'd just put on an audio book on the background so I was able to burn through my entire audio book library really quickly, like a 30hr book would just take me 2~3 days to finish depends on how long I spend playing. And no, I didn't play games 15hrs a day, I listen to books on 3x the narration speed so it's pretty fast. I haven't been feeling like playing lately which also unfortunately means that I didn't get much reading done either and I don't really like that so I have been forcing myself to play games just so that I could listen to my audio books in the background lol.
I really like how you dived into this series 💕 This was the last trilogy that I managed to binge read, which I don’t do often because I tend to confuse the content of the books if I read them one after another lol but woah I wanted to understand what was happening, and how deeply I was affected by some events and by how masterfully Jemisin wraps things up. When I picked The Fifth Season I was NOT READY for what was coming hah
yeah i did notice a lot more info dumping in book 2 - I still really liked it but that did bug me considering the first book had 0 info dumping. the ending of the obelisk gate tho like it hits. I think the themes are def the strongest part of the series like you said

Hannibal is that one show that all my fan girl friends watched and I was never able to watch it because IM A CHICKEN 😂 we all watched Lizzie Bennet Diaries, Doctor Who and Sherlock together but Hannibal was too much for me. I know that if it wasn’t for the gore it would have been one of my favorites shows though. Oh well 💁🏻♀️ PS: Hannibal cast at Nerd HQ still is one of my favorite panels from a con. So good and funny!
