Enjoyed this, thanks! Awesome climb. Careful how you clip pitons though, when you clipped the one in the corner past the crux it was loaded on the nose of the gate side of your top biner. Clip placements like that from underneath and leave the nose pointing out of the corner so the spine of the biner lies next to the rock. In a fall that loads the piton without adding torque that could break the biner or the eyes of the pin. Little things can save your life.
That’s basically but a little different than what I did to pull off pitch 1. My partner goes right around the corner of the chimney, he made it look easy and after doing his variation it definitely was. Such a stellar pitch!
Yep.. I had a partner convince me to go out right. I doubted it off the first couple of committing moves, but once you hit those jugs you're good. Really takes the sting out of P1 for sure!
