Just started hygiene school this summer and we haven’t covered this yet, and it made it so much easier to decipher the textbook!! I would love one about x-rays! I take that in the fall
Text books make everything so complicated. There are things I cried over in school and I I know now and can't understand why they make it so awfully complicated. I hope your doing amazing though!!
I became a DA during Covid without any schooling. Everything I know so far I have learned through working. I know some of the lingo but since I didn’t go to dental assisting school I don’t know all of the terminology. I found your channel recently and your videos have been so helpful.
I am becoming a dental assistant and I’m already on week 5/12 and watching this and quizzing myself before you say it helps me remember them all!! Thank you
I'm starting Dental Hygiene school next week and I've been binge watching most of your videos since last year when I got excepted in the program. Thank you for making these videos and your positive energy :)
This is quite enjoyable. It was indeed helpful especially to those that were new in the system. How I wish Dr. A.C Fones is still alive, he would've awarded you " the best dental hygienist of the 21st century". Proud of you ma'am.👍👍👍
Thank you so much for this informative & educational tutorial! I've been wanting to understand basic dental terminology for a long time and actually had already learned some of the content prior to watching this video, but I wasn't familiar with all of it. Now I can remember it better! Thanks again!
I recently entered the dental field as a Treatment plann coordinator and this has help a ton. ATM I have been shadowing my OM but this has really made it more relatable. Thanks
im pursuing dental hygienist and i know most of the teeth already but elaborating on mesial and distal made it easier to comprehend , thanks . as well as labial , incisal etc !
why didn't I find your channel while I was in assisting school now that I have my first job I have to jog my memory on what I learned and you just basically gave us a semester long lessen in under 10 min thank you love your Chanel.
This was freaking enjoyable to watch. So Educational. I pray I get in my hygiene program next year. I apply in February!! I’m currently an assistant and I’m learning a lot, but I desire to be a hygienist so much.
I had fillings done today and I remember my dentist using the term buccal when she was looking at the teeth she would be working on. It’s nice to know now what she meant.
Do you have any videos on how you manage a typical appointment (step by step) with each patient and how things would differ if it's a SRP or different type of cleaning as well?
I have a video for patients about SRPs. But, I'm not sure I have a step by step appointment video yet! Will work on that :) Until then...here are some you might like: SRP: teethtalkgirl.com/videos/deep-cleanings?rq=deep%20cleaning Day in the life: teethtalkgirl.com/videos/a-day-in-the-life-of-a-dental-hygienist?rq=day%20in%20the%20life
I have ALWAYS found the Universal Numbering System to be waaaaay more confusing. So thankful that we use the FDI two-digit notation here in Canada 🇨🇦 ...fellow RDH
Easy way to remember tooth numbering system. Use landmarks. Maxillary arch, your cuspids are 6 and 11. On the mandibular arch, cuspids, 22, which is directly below 11, and 27.. once you’ve got those down, it’s easy to begin learning to the left and right of each of those on either arch.
I loved this video! I start dental hygiene school this fall and want to get a headstart on some of the basic things hygienists should know! Could you do more videos like this or describing other things hygienists should learn in hygiene school??? :)
Wow Thank you. I was told that the actual Dental Hygiene courses/classes were hard. but this is pretty easy to understand.... but i guess this isn't diving as deep into it as the class..?
This is such a help will re watch !!! You are a wonderful influence and a great teacher! You make this very easy to want to do for a big part of my life! Thank you, please make more informational videos you are great at them!
Hopefully i will be getting into toothy world coming September all the way in Canada .. i am so nervous .. studying denticity in all new country gets me paranoid Lets see Your videos are full of optimism and great energy .. thanks for doin what u do ☺️☺️

I don't know what I'm doing here. I'm terrified of dentist appointments. I'm Swedish and I'm pretty sure the terminology doesn't add up. I should be wrapping Christmas gifts. Cool video, though.

I really want to teach myself everything I can before I go. Thank you for these videos-- taking notes and keeping a binder full of info!
It was very helpful thanks! I hope you would be giving me some tips for how to be successful in studying dentistry b/c I would be starting studying it in a week in college.
