Great job. Now every month or so, build another custom cabinet to slowly replace all the metal ones.
As much as i love the metal cabinets ive really been considering this because the metal cabinets just werent made for this house so theres some wasted space in a few places and a few things dont fit the way i wanted them to
Suggestion, why not build a slide out cabinet between fridge and stove. From ceiling to floor. Bottom you could store trash bin; then above that shelves for Spices, bake goods etc. with false cabinet front. Home Depot and Lowe’s sell them for $200, in Kitchen cabinets. You could build for 1/2 that. It would be worth a trip to cabinet section at either Hardware store; to get GREAT IDEAS for your new Kitchen ❤
Great idea! I love the trash bin idea! That’s one thing I hate having is the trash bin always out. So being able to hide it would be perfect! Thanks so much for the tip!

I had about the same idea. The top part make slide out drawers for spices and extra bulk spices at the top. Very top extra spices, middle spices you use every day, bottom trash can.

Remember the fridgE need a 2" of open space on back and both sides. To vent. ! !!!😇
Forsure! Theres about 2-3 inches behind it and 4" above it. Been checking it with a temp gun and no issues.

Dont really need it. The way its designed theres already 2-3" of space behind the fridge when its in the proper spot. If you tried pushing the fridge all the way against the wall, the fridge doors wont open.
I so enjoyed the short little ASMR halfway through with the screws in the jig holes. It was very pleasing to hear/watch lol. Love how it’s all coming together. Did we need that rain or what? ❤

Have you ever considered a rain catch system until you can do a well? All that rain would be awesome to retain and use.
I live less than an hour from you guys and your soil looks so much different. It looks very sandy where you are.
We just haven’t gotten a ton of rain up until recently. It looks that way because it’s dried clay.
You should do a spice rack/shelving from counter to ceiling right next to the stove oppose to an upper cabinet next to oven. I know how much you guys like to cook and entertain! Looks awesome!!

You should do the cabinet depth lower so with the face frame it's flush with the wall on the left so later when you doing crown molding it's just a straight piece

All need to get a solar automatic gate opener for sure. Fridges needs to breath doesn't look like you gave enough space for that . Lack of space they can overheat and shorting span the life of the fridge . Other than that looks good great job

My problem was they didn't make the size I needed
I would do a spice rack by the stove.
We actually do have a spice rack next to the stove in one of the uppers! The vintage cabinets came with a builtin spice rack ! I LOVE IT
Above the stove is not a good idea. The heat is not good for the spices. Ages them.

You are gonna need a bigger gap, you have to have air flow from the top so the compressor gets air or you'll wind up burning up your refrigeration system. Just my 2 cents.
It has a 4" gap between the top of the fridge and bottom of the cabinet, as well as 3" behind the fridge. Ive been checking it with a temperature gun and no issues.

Oh man! Yes, our options are limited to two things but we are very grateful!
your doing a gr8 job remodeling the Kitchen,,,, Just one comment,, As a refridgeation engineer, it is n orot good to build the cabinet to fit so close around the refrigerator or freezer. Its always advisable to leave a gap of at least 1" either side to let air flow other wise it could make the compresser over heat.
I would suggest you drill a few 1" holes low down in the side of the larder and cabinet wall yo built. I hope you check this out and follow this advice. good work other wise Del UK..

Cabinet looks amazing! Maybe a sliding cabinet for spices and cutting boards or trash bin would work in the space between the stove and the refrigerator. Whatever you decide on, i am sure it will work out great.
