@Jess_and_Dave there is no first class and second class in Sleepers train in Egypt, they all have same class... first class and second class exists only in the air conditioned trains with seat reservation...thank you for your honest review, i believe the sleepers trains really need to be refurbished , they are in service since like 30 years!
hmm I am planning my trip and i wasnt sure if i should take the flight or the train but after watching this i think flights should be my first priority
Yea, it’s certainly not for everyone! It’s also cheaper to fly. I’d really only suggest taking the train for “the experience” and if that’s not your vibe I’d definitely say to pass on it!☺️
Thank you for sharing! Could you pls advise how could you reserve ticket online? On Abela Sleeping Trains website foreigners are not allowed to buy ticket.
Hi there! Foreigners are able to book tickets online, make sure you are selecting “Foreigner” for both the nationality and seat type. You also have to scroll down the page, once making the search, to see the available options. It will also want you to sign up for an account before you can complete the purchase. I hope that helps!☺️ abelatrains.com/Home
Hi! We paid for two people in a double cabin and we were given a specific cabin number. The company running the trains recently changed and it looks like it’s currently 130USD for a single cabin and 90USD per person in a double (from Cairo to Aswan). The website for purchasing tickets is now Abelatrains.com. Hope that helps!☺️
Hey, I went back through our email and found that we booked online through this website (wataniasleepingtrains.com). When looking them up now, it looks like they’ve rebranded. I’d suggest going to the website seat61 to get more info on specific train numbers. You can than use that info when booking your ticket online to ensure you get the newest train.
Some people says you have to pay double price for 1 cabin if you are alone. Is it true? Cause i will travel alone and i dont prefer for 2 ticket only for me :)
Have you guys applied for the amazing race? Youd be hands on faves. Except for dave's fear of heights
Haha we haven’t but maybe we should😆

Thanks so much for watching!:)
Very helpful!
Glad it was helpful!

Are the restrooms clean?!
They started out not too bad but got a bit more dicey by morning. Definitely bring some toilet paper in case they run out!
Ticket price
We paid $127.50 CAD per person for a double room with bunk beds.
Thank u,
How much dollar
@@Jess_and_Davehi! Is the price for 1 way ticket? Or return ticket?
It's quite pricey though for tourists@@Jess_and_Dave

We heard that as well but as we were traveling as two, didn’t look into it.
Terrible toilets. other than that everything is supper.
Yea the toilets started off okay and deteriorated over the course of the trip😬
Egypt is not a safe place to travel
As someone who’s been there, I disagree as long as you take precautions.
