Unveiling Luxor: Journey Through Karnak and Luxor Temple
Thanks for sharing, I’m going to Peru and Bolivia in January and have a very similar itinerary as yours with the Inca Trail, Salar de Uyuni, etc. Your videos have been super informative for my upcoming trip. The company I’m traveling with forbids their guides from helping travelers set up Death Road tours, which of course has only made me more interested in it. No risk, no reward, right?
I’m so happy to hear you’ve found them helpful! The death road was a bucket list thing that we are happy we did but would never do again.😅 Let me know if you’ve got any questions about the tours we did!
Wow! Like you said, the views were amazing. But SO dangerous! There certainly isn’t much room for error.
We were definitely holding the brakes the entire ride down😅
A very interesting video. Great explanations about the cable cars. I really like your manner, Jess (sorry Dave, you do a great job too but Jess is special). All the information about how much things cost is very useful.
So glad to hear you enjoyed it!☺️
Are the equipment included ??
Tents and the bag you fill for the porters to carry are included. You can pay to rent sleeping bags (25USD), air mattresses (20USD) and hiking poles or you can bring your own. You need to bring your own day pack and water bottle. Let me know if you have any other questions about specific items you need:)
Good one 😊
Thanks!☺️
AM-AZING!
Those cable cars look neat. Quite the view from up there! The food looked good too. We noticed quite a mixture of old and very modern buildings in your video.
Thanks for watching! We had a great time on those cable cars.😂
This is a good description of the trip with many important details. I am curious if you speak any Spanish. So many American travelers to that part of the world know two words in Spanish: gracias and cerveza. I find that having at least an intermediate level of Spanish goes a long way. Was that an Airbnb or a hotel you were staying in and how much did you pay per night for a double?
I’m glad you found it helpful! As Canadians, we don’t learn Spanish in school; we’ve just got a bit of French! But we didn’t have any issues communicating. We stayed at the “Hostal Iskanwaya” in La Paz and we booked through Agoda. It’s listed as a hostel but it’s all private rooms. We paid 30USD/42CAD per night including taxes and fees.
Good video and informative regarding the bus ride. My family of four will come from Cusco to Lapaz too. Still contemplating if we’ll travel by bus or fly.
Thanks for watching! We had debated between the bus and flying. In the end, the flight times didn’t work with our tight schedule.
Thanks for sharing! What about going to the bathroom along the trail and at camp?
There are toilets along the trail that you can stop at, usually cost 1 or 2 soles to use. At camp they set up the portable toilet and some sites also have additional toilets as well. I had to go once along the trail between rest stops, and found a spot a bit of trail to go. You should follow “leave no trace” principles. I (Jess) actually had a pee funnel and cloth so I didn’t have any waste.
Stayed there in 2016 awesome place
It’s really is! We loved it there☺️
im going to do this in january, thank you for the video! :D
Hope you enjoy it!
Should CAD be exchanged to Peruvian soles before travelling?
We exchanged CAD to USD before travelling as many places (excursions) want you to pay in USD. It was easy to get USD exchanged to Soles in Peru. Our main issue was trying to take more money out of atms once in Peru. Many wouldn’t work for us and the ones that would, charged exorbitant fees for the transaction. So whether you take just USD or a mix of USD and Soles, I recommend taking enough to cover any excursions you hope to do that require cash payment and any extra you might want for day to day spending. Hope that helps!☺️
@@Jess_and_Dave Wonderful! Thank you very much for your reply. We are flying from Toronto to Cusco next week and were thinking of using a Scotiabank ATM there, but now we’ll carry USD and exchange to soles as needed. Any other suggestions or advice for Canadian travelers would be greatly appreciated.
The original Wiener Schnitzel is only with veal.By all other Schnitzel you must write what kind of meat is in.In this Biergarten they do it also they wrote Wiener Schnitzel from the pork
I was exhausted watching this 😮 looks so cool!!
The views were so so worth it!😍
Beautiful
Can I ask what hotel did you stay at in Venice? We have a few options but value extra suggestions. Thanks!
Hi there! We stayed at the Hotel Leonardo in the Cannaregio district. Have a wonderful trip!!
Thank you!
Great video and tips!! can I ask, what hotel for your stay in Venice? I’m traveling with my sisters Mar 2025. Thanks!
Hi! We stayed at Hotel Leonardo in the Cannaregio district. Have the best time on your trip! :)
Great scenery but quite an extreme hike.
It was certainly a challenge!
wow
Terrible toilets. other than that everything is supper.
Yea the toilets started off okay and deteriorated over the course of the trip😬
Don´t get disencouraged by the negativ comments. We Viennese People are grumpy by nature. There would be really a lot of better places to eat out so hopefully you come back to Vienna any time and visit those restaurants and sausage stands that are historically known for beeing good.
Thank you for the kind words! We only had a day in Vienna and will certainly be back to spend more time eating!😂
busquen los Huariques de comida ...excelente ....
Thank you for this suggestion! We didn’t know about Huariques and will definitely look for some next time!☺️
just the " Anticuchos " are worth the trip!
Absolutely! 🤤
Peru is animal friendly you can put your horse in a cab ❤😂😂
😂😂
Cute!
Your breakfast looked so good 😍 your videos make me want to buy a plane ticket to each new location you Vlog

Omg 😩😍
They were so sweet🥹
I'd pack books and a full lunch. Not moving for the whole day!
We visited 3 times in the one day we were in Lima😂
I had similar in Greece, but was told centipedes bite & millipedes don't (and i wasn't sure which was on my leg!) 😮😅
Hahaha yea I definitely wouldn’t have been holding this guy if I wasn’t sure if he’d bite🤣
They just have cats that you can hold and pet there?? Sign me up!
The cats live at the park and are taken care of by a local volunteer group. Most are even available for adoption!☺️
Animals know a good soul and ❤
Are the restrooms clean?!
They started out not too bad but got a bit more dicey by morning. Definitely bring some toilet paper in case they run out!
As a peruvian I wouldn't recommend staying more than 2 days in Lima; with an empty stomach you can enjoy our best dishes which is our main atraction, and it will be always better spend the trip out of the capital, where u can find the true beauty of Peru.
Thank you for this recommendation! We were torn between suggesting 2 or 3 days so it’s nice to hear a Peruvian perspective! We’ve got many more videos to come of us exploring more of your beautiful country.☺️
Philip needed some dipping sauce I think.
I think you might be right🤣
You don't need to wear those masks!
They were when we were there.
There are so many better spots in Vienna. It hurts to see, where you eat.
Haha well we are always open to recommendations!
Delighted we found this vlog as we head out to the lodge for 4 nights in a few weeks !
@@HowardandHilda Oh my gosh have the BEST time!! We’ve posted 2 other vlogs covering some of the other activities if you’re interested.☺️ Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
You definately hear a lot of flute music in Perú, but I never saw people dancing to it like at 12:00 time. Can someone explain this to me, are they celebrating something special or is it just a weekly gathering of some sorts?
Hi, I'm looking at a flight that has a 9 pm to 8 am layover in El Dorado. Do you know if I can sleep in any of those lounges? (without paying for the rooms). I do have a priority pass.
With priority pass, you are supposed to be able to sleep in a room for free for up to 3 hours I think. When we went, they said there was an issue with our priority pass, yet we had no issues getting into lounges. I'd say give it a shot when you arrive.
@@Jess_and_Dave thank you for replying! 🙂
I am glad you had a great time. You re welcome back any time!
