Something very interesting is that the rear coupling is exactly the same on the entire Cateye VIZ line. Personally, when I bought the adapter for my Brompton seat, I put a Cateye Viz 450 on it, which in its pulse mode is perfect for daytime touring rides. An anecdote: I am so happy with that light that I didn't decide to change to a Brooks B17 Special until I found someone who designed a 3D support for me to attach the light in the same place (anchoring it to the seat rails). It was so perfect that the light coupling is even much firmer and has a better "click" than the original :) Thank you very much Hannah for the content and for your kindness in answering my emails! Greetings from Buenos Aires!
This is a vast improvement over the other lower mounted and less powerful options; well done Brompton and Cateye, this is what’s we’ve long been waiting for. This winter I’ve been running two Cateye VIZ 150’s on my Brompton, one directly under the saddle and a second one half way up the seat-post. I set the top one to pulse and the lower mounted one to fixed; vehicles now definitely seem to give me more room when overtaking and generally pass more cautiously and considerately. I genuinely can’t recommend these brilliant little lights enough. 👍 And well done Hannah and her team on yet another hugely informative and well presented video…. Please do keep them coming, we love um. 😊
I still don't own a Brompton (yet) but being obsessed with all things 2 wheeled I always love brilliant bikes videos for being so informative and in depth. Never considered cateye lights until now, I'm a lover of moon 🌙 lights, yet the cat eye looks a nifty second rear light. 🎅 Santa if you're accidentally signed in on my UA-cam account I wouldn't mind one please 😂
To prevent my CatEye MINI from being knocked off, I put a small rubber band over the mount mating surface so when I push the MINI on, it makes a much tighter seal. Works a treat and no more knocking it off on the train! 😂
Thanks for a great vid as usual. For what it’s worth… The circular Brompton light is much neater, although it’s awful to turn on and off. This sticks out a bit too far and can get easily knocked off. What really is needed is a neat way to add a rear light to a Brookes. Any recommendations please?
Sorry but I have a Garmin Radar Backlight in a special bolted clamp on my bike (brake bolt), and not on the saddle or pin. It gives an alarm in my Garmin Explore, if something comes up from behind! Besides that I also use a stone-hard slightly padded Selle carbon saddle, with an AceOffix saddle clamp, which is light and easy to adjust. Finn. Denmark
That's odd, I bought one of these nearly two years ago. I assume it would have been available in the UK, no? (I'm in the US). It mounts to the seat the same way, same bracket, same light etc.
Hmm... correction: Mine has one different mode - kind of a glowy flash mode. Instead of flicking on and off, it glows up and then glows down gradually. Anyway, it's a great light, and thanks for the night time demo!
Very similar to the "old" Cateye rear light. I prefer them to the more modern round ones. Thanks for your film as always....
We were saying the same thing yesterday! Thanks for watching!

Thank you so much for watching and for the photos!
...it also seems much more visible than the lower frame-backlight... worth a consideration!
Yes we were a pleasantly surprised how good it looked!
Thanks for watching!

Thank you and thank you for watching! Looking forward to the update when you have a Brompton 😀

queen of brompton
lol! Thank you and thank you for watching!
Many thanks as usual Hannah - where would we be without you and your team at BB? 👍
Thank you so much! And thank you for watching!
I ended up buying a second hand one a time ago, they are brilliant. I'm surprised not usb-c but I guess micro is still alive and well. Cheers
Thanks for watching! Fingers crossed in time!
I hate micro USB!
You need good eyes and a good lighted environment to find out which side goes where, and this to power up a ... light.
Finally! Love it 💡🚨
It did take a while! Thanks for watching!
Be good if they sell the bracket on its own for all of us who already have Cateye lights.
Thanks for watching! I’ll see if we can get them 😀
I wish I could buy the mounting bracket only, because I already have the light
Thanks for watching! I’ll see if we can get them 😀
Excellent video, however surely the Be Seen light is better engineered ?
Many thanks for watching. The Be seen lights are great, just not quiet as bright. It’s a shame you can’t use them both at the same time
Thanks for a great vid as usual.

Thanks for watching! Funny one of our viewers managed to get one made!

That's our favourite light !

Thanks for watching! Maybe it’s the original one 😀
I have a few Cateyes, can we just get the mount?
Thank you for watching! I will ask and see if we can
Micro USB?!!!
You beat me to it. How very 2010. Come on Brompton and Cateye.
I think in one of the takes I said sorry please don’t shoot the messenger! Yes we’d also like USB C!
Thanks for watching
@ sorry, obviously no shots fired at the messenger. You don’t make the product. All the best
@ love the videos. Keep up the good work. I wonder if they thought no-one would notice 😀.
Top tip. If you’re offended by smutty schoolboy humour and cartoon strips in bad taste, don’t order this VIZ from your newsagent by accident.
Spiffing. Can't stop. Must dash to the newsagent.
Thanks for watching! Ooohhh sounds like I learned something today then…..
