If you put on a lanyard it will help cuz you're not holding the radio you can move your hands around and not worry about dropping it 🤔😜🤗👍
Your right. They have some kind of suspender set up to hold your transmitter. Or you could make one.
There are harnesses for binos that work great for that. Probably a lot less than the hobby store's version.

Thanks to you two, I bought my first RC vehicle since I was in my early twenties. (I am 58 now) I bought a Venturer 4X4 1/14th scale made by Subotech. It's fast and fun. Thank you both for years of entertainment. I am a retired Veteran and worked on the Electronic Warfare Systems on the A-10 Warthog. Don't be jealous Nate but i was qualified to start the jet but not fly it.

A radio just like the Jumper T-lite would fit the bill.. good flying Abby.. just like you flown the delta wing.. high confiden.. & perfect plane chase .. Nate.. 👍
I agree Abby, the Spectrum transmitter is not ergonomic. I have small hands & I pinch the sticks, consequently I use only my pinkie & ring fingers to hold the box. Flipping any switch requires my hand to momentarily abandon one of the control sticks. So I organise my switches in such a way, that it is the throttle/rudder stick that will be abandoned when necessary during flight.
On a game controller, my thumbs sit on top of the short sticks, with fingers comfortably resting on four separate buttons.
I don’t use many switches mid flight, but I do practice flicking “Safe” on. After all, it’s not going to save the plane, if I take too long to turn “Safe” on, so I need to be very familiar with that switch.

100 percent agree! Fantastic plane! I just maidened my new a10 today. Super stable and flies great. Makes me look like a better pilot. My friend just picked one up. He is more novice than me but I have no doubt he can fly it. For radios, radiomaster makes a smaller radio that Abby might like, still uses the same traditional switch style but might be better in her hands. I run a Radiomaster TX16s and I use it with my Eflite planes and I get all the telemetry data you can get on your Spektrum radios. Just a bit more programming to do. By the way, also agree on the switches.... old style toggle switches should be changed to plastic rocker switches molded to shapes you can easily feel the difference between switches. No need for old style switches on a modern radio. I break my switches quite often and it's getting annoying.

Everyone LOVES an A-10 Thunderbolt. This little guy is my next purchase... the Missus will kill me!
Love the "Peanut" livery.. from what I've read it was set for desert storm and they painted one (maybe two) A-10's but was never formally adopted... shame as it's the most wicked camo scheme out there... I have an older Banana Hobby twin 64mm EDF A-10 with the same scheme and it still flies perfectly!!

Hi Abby, as its not a game controller style radio, it has a neckstrap hang point to allow for different ergonomics/hand sizes/holding styles, you should definately try one.

Nice flight! I really hope they keep the trend of bringing back umx planes like how they did it with this plane and the Night Vapor. For me, I don't have a flying field less than 1 hour away from me and I'm 13 so I couldn't even drive there if I wanted to, so my only chance for flying is the umx planes at my nearest baseball field only about 5 minutes away. I've only been in the hobby for about 9 months so looking back, there have been so many cool umx planes and micro planes that would be amazingly great but have been discontinued. All I can hope for is some new umx planes! 👍😊

First off, I will say that I love flying this plane! It handles great and really books across the sky! But it has certainly been a comedy of errors. Shipped in 3 packages and took a over two weeks to get everything. I haven't had a flight yet where I haven't had to come home and hot glue the nose back together, even on seemingly fine belly landings in grass. I think if it's pitched even a little bit nose down, the cannon catches in the grass. The main body fuselage is two pieces that are taped together with the strengthening wire in-between, and on top of that the foam is so thin and apparently brittle that the slightest impact causes it to snap. Since the strength wire isn't embedded in the foam but sandwiched in-between, it really doesn't do much. Again, I love flying this thing, I just wish I didn't have to fix it every time!
Very bad made sadly I had 2 come down n smashed up foud out the flight controller packed up on both never again so much of it having carbon rod inside uhhhhh so 1mm high is plenty shud of bin 10mm 5mm in the bottom part and 5mm in the top part.
The scenery at this new location you're filming in is SO MUCH better than the old RC airfield

I have a fly sky 10ch. Its slim and light feels great in hand
Check out the Jumper T-Lite if you want Spektrum and game controller style tx. But if you are used to Spektrum, OpenTx might be a bit of a challenge at first. And you want get all the telemtry either, so it is a compromise, but you will also get the chance of using it with a lot of the other models you fly, as it is a multiprotocol tx. And it is CHEAP, so maybe you could do a test to see if it could be suited as a first computer radio?
@thercsaylors HEY! if you need a radio for this you can get a Tango 2 Radio, the module bay add on, and the Multiprotocol module! You can also get a Jumper T-Lite radio and both would easily support DSM and DSM2 Protocol! I love my tango 2 and fly spektrum planes with it.
