Took a minute but we got the track on UA-cam WOOH!
I don't know how much I delved into this song, but I am mad in love with it. Just the act of pushing the original into a different direction and working with the wonderful Audio files of Apashe and Rhita... Gosh, it was so fun!! I am also really proud of the additional vocals I added here! Trying to make sure that the additional lyrics fit the world-building of Rhita to pay homage to the original.
In terms of production, I remember at first being unsure of where I should take it, but I felt like flipping it into more of a house/techno vibe would be super cool since the original was more Trap. Trying to develop cool drops with some of the new sound design techniques I've been learning, while also trying to be a little bit more minimal in my approach. This song's creation process felt like the culmination of the last 4 years of this project to me. Especially since, in December of 2021, I released the Uebok Remix that started it all...this was like a full circle moment. Over the years I've played around with so many facets of production and song creation but this song made me think a certain way. I was telling myself "ok, now that you have all this technical knowledge, don't overthink it, just have fun!". It felt liberating to just not get too stuck in the weeds of concepts and technicalities and just...MAKE...SOME....MOOSIC!
It's been such an honor to delve into this electronic world with you all. 2025 is here and I've been hard at work getting you guys new music ready, hence a lot of the radio silence... BUT FRET NOT! THE NEW SHI IS DOPE!!!
