It is good to see your mechanics skills evolution throughout the years. At the beginning you used to do a lot of wrong practices but you listened to the critics and improved in it. I really like your videos brother, keep doing the good work!

I give you A lot of Credit Joe. There are many people who flip Quads that would have just retorqued the head bolts and put stop leak into the radiator and sell it. You on the Other hand do the right thing and diagnose to the root and repair it..

He basically does that. He does the bare minimum, especially, on bikes he’s got torn apart anyways. He has no idea how to clean

The moment Joe popped the radiator cap open at 5:40, I zoomed in real hard and saw the "glitter" I yelled "IT HAS STOP LEAK IN IT!" "BLOWN HEEEEAD!" 😅

my ex wife bought one of these brand new back in 2002.. Surprisingly really quick back in the day. I'll bet the head just needs to be resurfaced when you rip apart. Either way still worth the tear down.. Super fun quad to rip in the snow with the push button 4wd

I had a buddy back in the day when these were new that had one identical to this one. Seeing this immediately flashed me back to when he hit a road approach going way way way too fast 🤣 it flew so far and so many things broke! They might be a “sport” quad but they ain’t made for jumping 👍

With that being a two stroke, you can put a pipe on it and really wake it up. I had one of those that I bought brand new back in 98 or 99. I bought an FMF pipe and silencer for it and an HPD clutch kit. Those two items totally transformed the quad. It ripped! I was drag racing and beating pretty much any sport quad of the day.

The second I saw that coolant spraying up while you were doing throttle checks, and saw that white smoke, I was yelling HEADGASKET! at the screen lol. I've had the white smoke monster claim a few race engines in my vehicles over the years. I feel for ya. Never fun.

Was very pleased at the seemingly good fix especially after so much blue smoke was coming out. That $900 might get equalised if the cylinder is cracked. Looking forward to the leak down test, where you should be able to make an accurate decision. Good luck :)

Just a question why don't you do what every one else does when they have a engine that won't start they shoot some starter fluid down throat of carb or into combustion chamber if it fires up for a few seconds they know they have spark and compression so they go straight to fuel as the problem mostly ?

You need to invest in a fiber optic scope. Even one you can attach to your phone. They are fairly inexpensive anymore and this way you'll be able to look down into the cylinder through the spark plug hole or any area you want to look at really that you have little access to.

Polaris dealers here , and it’s extremely rare here to so no used parts available, any suggestions of USA parts suppliers that could ship to the uk ? I’m happy with used parts , or could you source and ship if I paid ?
