DJI Mavic 2 zoom/pro landing leg replacement - no soldering! Replace front leg , replace landing leg

- A quick video showing how to remove and replace just the landing leg on the Mavic 2 zoom and pro after an accident, no need to open the drone, no soldering and can be replaced in around 10-15 mins.
I sourced entire replacement front arms from AliExpress, 7-10 day delivery for around £20 each, I’m obviously only going to be using only the legs, meaning I’ll have spare arms, wiring and motors should I ever need them.
My apologies for my hand being in the way of the shot in some places, if you missed something or didn’t see something please comment below and I’ll try my best to answer.
I’m not a professional electrician, just someone who has done a lot of phone screens and repairs, and decided I’d take a look at my Mavic 2 my self before paying someone to repair it.
I should add that ANY, DIY repairs will invalidate any warranty you may have on your drone, I bought mine second hand and as such don’t have any warranty.

This was very helpful. I was able to order the replacement part online and as soon as I started taking off the broken part I thought for sure I was in deep doo doo. Like many casual hobbyists, I don't have a workshop for drone repairs so the idea of soldering and re-soldering had me stymied. Thankfully, I came across your video which provided a simple solution to an otherwise challenging problem. I just finished my repairs and fired up my drone and all systems are go! Found this video after repairing my m2p front right leg. During the fix I damaged the esc board soldering : - ( replaced and fixed esc only to encountered a faulty imu. Week later repaired the all errors and now I'm back in the air. I Soo wish I found this video before I spent £120 on parts and many hours labour.

You can buy the landing gear piece itself..
It only costs $8 on Amazon.. no soldering.
I had to dremel the leg a bit to fit the led out.
I couldn't get the led through the hole attached to the wires and didn't want to separate it from it's wires. I used a small drill bit to make a hole to fit the led through.
It doesn't damage the structural integrity of the piece and when done it looks like new.
Fitting the led through the new piece with my big fingers required patience but a lil persistence and it'll go in nicely and sit in place especially after you replace the plastic led cover.
I just fixed my Mavic 2 Pro last night.
Your scalpel idea is probably quicker & better than the dremel. But as long as we both got the job done.. it's all Gravy Baby!
Thanks so much for this. Just did this repair, worked brilliantly. I didn’t have a scalpel tool so I used a tiny Dremel tool bit to grind the hole out a bit larger.

thanks for this. Worked a charm. Though i might recommend if you have a small selection of drill bits then just spinning them by hand to create the opening will be more simple.

Thanks, i was doing alot of searching because i broke my leg aswell, hearing about soldering and all that was making this whole project sound like im going to have to spend an arm and a leg to have dji replace it. Cant believe no one thought to just make the hole a little bigger . Thanks you saved me some headache.

@@johnredfearn6470 i might be the first but trust me i wont be the last. these legs are unbelievably easy to break, and most people dont want to mess it up worse by soldering.

Dynexty yes I have a business page - Vinyl Image professional vehicle wrapping . I’ve literally only just started using it, and didn’t realise it was in sport mode and screamed it into a tree 😂 but there is a new small video of a recent wrap I just completed, the indoors footage it shot on the DJI osmo pocket and the outdoor footage it on the Mavic 2, it’s all abit new to me so I’m sure my shots will get better

Firstly thanks for all the kind words.
Secondly, the small plastic leg cannot, or at the time of making the video, could not be bought separately, I purchased the full arm, complete including new motor form Ali express for around £25 each. I then remove the part I needed, and boxed the rest just incase I need any spares.

Well , I tried doing this because I have the same issue, but I ended up breaking one of the cables coming from the small led, I’m gonna have to try to soldier it now 🥲🥲🥲 any tips or videos?

Lo hice primero con un clavo delgado caliente agarrando con un alicate para hacer el espacio y luego con una navaja saqué los bordes para dejarlos planos.

just purchased Mavic 2 pro, within few days i am getting "Gimbal motor overloaded error" and then Gimbal starts moving erratically, no stability at all, many jerks are there. what is the solution for the same.

I'm in a similar situation. I crashed my drone earlier and the leg bent where one of the 3 screws mount and stripped the hole. I haven't been able to find a detailed method of replacing the whole arm.
Adam Berehulka I believe the whole arm is very similar to the mavic 1, it seems to be the end of the leg that is different

Hi guys, please read both the description below the video and my responses on the comments section, at the time of making the video, I could not buy the small legs seperate to the main arm, so I purchased two new arms and swapped them as in the video. These were sourced via Ali express.
Is the antenna included in the new arm that you purchased?

Good God....you could have easily found the parts yourself in a shorter amount of time than it took you to post this disturbing declaration of your own incompetence.
If you can find this video, then why can't you do a friggin' Google search, or go to the DJI...or eBay...or Amazon websites and DO YOUR OWN SEARCH for the parts?!? They are nearly EVERYWHERE. Do you have to call your mommy for instructions on how and where to buy groceries when you run out? If you need specific instructions on how to shop online, then try THIS incredibly complicated search term:

And by the looks of it, you're not the only lazy moron out there that needs specific instructions about how to do your own shopping.
