DIY Feed chopping machine / Hammermeul / Bale Chopper / Homemade

This project was to upgrade my current feed chopper. I used a 1.1kw single fase 4pole motor @ 1440 rpm. Blades was salvaged from old brushcutter blades and reshaped(grind ed). The main body was old truck rim that i cut in half. The rest was scrap metal.

When the blade is bent by a hard object, that would be catastrophic.

Hi Russel, I adjusted it some-what since i made it. Instead of using 3 stationary blades on the main frame, i went with only 2. 3 was chopping it just to fine. I mainly chop sugar bean bales which is extremely stocky and does a good job with it. It cuts through lucerne bale "like hot knife through butter". a lucrene bale of 22kg take about 4 min and the sugar bales about 7min. I will post video for comments.
