If the rumors are true that Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy purposely halted production on Deadpool & Wolverine pre-and-post WGA-SAG strikes so that they'd have a legitimate reason to not have She Hulk and Captain Marvel in the film, then it was 1000% the right decision. The R-rating doesn't help either of those characters, She Hulk isn't a warrior and doesn't know anything about the multiverse, and Captain Marvel would've been the second strongest character in the film aside from Cassandra Nova. Plus, having two satire 4th wall breaking characters would've been a daunting task even for Ryan Reynolds to write around.
That rumor is complete bs. The actress who played She-Hulk told a joke about being cut from the movie on a podcast that had no basis in fact and a bunch of tabloids and internet chatter carried it not realizing it was a joke because they’re all stupid.

seeing more of dogpool would be a lot of fun! i did actually remember elektra, but that's mostly because of daredevil. i think that deadpool could use time travel to save nicepool, but i'm not 100% sure (time travel is confusing lol)

Yeah it is, by how much Deadpool loves captain America he could risk it all to pull him out of the past where he decided to grow old with Peggy Carter but that would really mess things up. Although it does make me question how captain America going back to the past didn't create an alternative universe.
