Man you also need to go tuna fishing and probably leave those parramatta bream and flathead behind, would be really cool to see you holding up a metre king or 10kg tuna!
I was looking at places to catch kingfish in sydney and thought you looked familiar, then my mate and I realised we recognise you from a charter we took few months back, you got sea sick that morning, remember you said it never happens to you, and right at the end some bloke lost an Australian salmon
"Just waiting for that run...." ah yep zzzz! Always the way I swear ahaha Was unreal to see you land her after all the chaos buzzing for ages after that!
That's amazing that you caught Longtail Tuna off the rocks in Sydney.... Looking forward to seeing you haul in some big GT's and Coral Trout off North Bondi soon.
Bro keep your eye on the bottom of the inside of the spool there is a 1/3 ring indicator to let you know how much line you got left so you don't panic. Saltiga 10k fits pe5 (80lb) @300 metres. When you see the inside ring 1/3 = 100 metres left
@@spinkingsyd definitely true mate I’m usually on the boat or spearfishing every weekend but since lockdown I unfortunately can’t go anywhere so just organising gear and the boat prepped for when Covid19 home detention finished “ocean Rambo will be back on adventures I want to try rock fishing for some big fish too man love your work mate
What are yous using to catch the fish? Lure or bait? Also where abouts in Sydney? Good video & love seeing the fact that there is fish left in Sydney!!
LOVE THIS!!! watched all your videos and geed me up badly to fish!!! what line are you runnings on your saltiga 10 000? i got smoked the other day and need to add line..
Mate can you recommend me a rod length and braid strength for lure casting at Kingfish within Syd harbour, Parra river and possible of the rocks? Cheers
Thanks brother! Appreciate it. Nah the weighed floats suck they always break at the lead. In this video we were using them though but quickly learned they were no good
Hey buddie @4:36 I notice the bail arm on your saltiga flip a spin does it happen often. I have a saltiga 14k and it happen to me many times and lost a few fish because of it. I think this is an issue daiwa need to improve on the next model
Hey man, nah you can see I flick the bail arm over to let line out then close it again but the line is actually half way up the arm and it’s got so much pressure that it opens it back up again, I think if you close it harder it won’t have any issues or drop your rod so you have slack line to close it then there shouldn’t be any issues. It was just the line placement that opened it back up
im from nz moving to sydney this year keeeen as to get out slay up the australian waters eager to see the difference in taste of the fish keeeep slaying it brother

8 foot is my preferred length
For rat kings 30lb is fine but for a heavy set up chasing the big kings I’d run 80lb
Have you got any good spots for king fish in Sydney?
Awesome vid brother. Beats carp fishing in my LGA at the moment haha. The only shit thing is that its gonna take a lifetime to top that longie 😂.
