What about changing it around: Integrating the real door into the pack and covering it up with the erasable door? That way you wouldn't need to force a card, because the door would always show the actual upper card inside? Just a thought.
You can use really thin tin foil (actually tin, not aluminium) too make the card thinner. Razor blades work too but I would severely dull them on some rock from the garden before using them in a gimmick. A lot of stuff comes in cardboard boxes with a magnetic lock. Headphones or something. I salvage these really tin magnets for the DIY magic drawer😅
I live in Thailand so the postage will be quite expensive. You can have the one I made in the video. I would have to charge 15 pounds to make it worth while. I think you could buy cheaper from a magic store online maybe.

Like I say it is up to you to demonstrate the trick however you see fit. I just give my perspective as to how the trick is made.
But then you can’t show the card box to the audience. The other way, you end clean, plus forcing a card is easy.

You have an interesting V-shape cut-out at the top of the card. The original cut-out on Bicycle Playing Cards is U-shaped. 😉
There was no cutout at all so I had to put my own in
