I agree the surround sound set up is nice. Perhaps better. But I don't care for the look. We lean toward a minimalist style. HomePods arriving today with support for Dolby Atmos and their computational 'spatial audio' sound. I'm hoping that will fill the room well. I really appreciate the watch and commenting!!! Thanks
Mike made theater rooms in both our past homes. Back then it was a pull down screen, a projector, a few speakers and blackout shades. Yours is much cooler!

I have two of the NEW HomePods that have an immersive experience and for the depth and size of the room it is amazing. Can't begin to push them to the max volume and the sound is rich and 'feels' very much like it surrounds. But I suspect there are better (and more expensive) options. I just went this way as I am an Apple guy and I didn't want speakers an wires all over the room.
I thought we were going to have a home theatre tour. The next thing is I'm listening to some guy talking about cleaning products in a toilet. Aw man, I need to get a life 😂

This was just unkind. Nothing cheap about the room at all. But as the saying goes, 'to each their own'. Taste is subjective and a matter of preference [ and ability to afford ;). ]
There is so much I would do to this room to improve the esthetics. But it's your room and if you enjoy it than that's all that matters. Also I'm not hating on your room because I absolutely hate my room. As for the frames my friend just uses 43" LED TVs because he can buy them cheaper than those picture frames.
I was looking forward to a reply. Saddened to not hear more from you. I was thinking about the TV option for the posters and while that would save money, when they are powered off you just have TV's. The value of these frames is I always have the poster art on the wall.
@@MrAndMrsBanks I like the TVs because you can add whatever art or movie poster you want and you can even have it display a trailer/s of the movie you are about to watch. There's not much I can suggest in terms of esthetics because I don't know what the rest of the house looks like. I just don't find this to be a theater room. It's more like a living room/entertainment space. If I had a way of moving the snack corner, chess table, the none theater chairs and that hamper elsewhere I would do so.
Yeah, I will readily admit the audiophile might not care for my room. Since the video dropped I have gotten the larger and new HomePods with immersive/spatial audio and Dolby Atmos support in a stereo pair. They are really awesome for my needs. We went down the road of the room design and style over all the speakers and treatments. I hope you will yield that it looks good. lol. But frankly, it even sounds good, especially for the size room. I can't begin to put the volume up or we get blown away and the clarity along with a pretty good sense of directional sound sourcing is surprisingly good.
I appreciate that you watched and commented. That said, it's not crowded at all and as for seating being too close, I have to work with the existing walls. ;) We find it to be perfectly fine for the size TV and I personally sit closer in an actual theater as I like the screen to fill most of my range of sight. So I think that may be a preference issue. And only bright when lights are on - they go off for the movie. ;)

You need a AV Receiver and Speaker setup be much better experience for movie watching, even 3.1 setup be better than nothing.
