    When considering the weight of the Gren, check out the size of the chassis, axels and drive line components and consider the chassis is waxed inside. Also consider the body panels and load bearing mature of the doors. The weight is defina6ely there as an effect of its "designed toughness"

    I bought mine 3 months ago.
    Finished the interior build out, (rear seat delete, REDARC Electrics, Fridge, interior lights, Rhino Rack, Bush Company 270, Jerry can holder, MaxTrax,)
    I love so many things about the car, and the things I didn't care for, have now become pretty insignificant.
    Enjoy the truck Ronny

      Nice! Question: why did you not bought the 2 seats version?

    • @gureno19
      @gureno19 Місяць тому

      Because you can convert it back to a passenger vehicle legally at any time. A van is only engineered and licenced for two seats. @@RogerCampillo

    • @RogerCampillo
      @RogerCampillo Місяць тому

      @@gureno19 that’s true, but you could start from a more accesible platform (even if the vehicle setup is pretty much the same) and there less work involved. Afterwards you will sell it anyway to people interested on the two seats version.

    • @gureno19
      @gureno19 Місяць тому +2

      @@RogerCampillo I'd argue that the market for 2 seat vans is far smaller then 5 seat passenger wagons. It's just easier to delete the rear seats and keep that market open to you, plus if circumstances change, or when you aren't touring you can return it to a passenger vehicle that's far easier to live with day to day then a 2 seater.

    Fantastic episode, the Ineos looks so much like the old Defender, but looks like the base model has what every 4wd should have as a base model. The big downfall is the price which is why it has so much fruit on it.
    Looking forward to the progression of the Ineos testing

    Ronny, everyone wants to see 35s but obviously legalities will be prohibitive.
    Would be awesome to see what it would take to make 35s legal/work on this car. Similar to your previous videos on tyres and roof weight etc.

    The pajero sport utilises all 8 gears in low range, with a similar top speed (about 70 ish km/hour). I realise it's in a different class, but worth mentioning.

    Diff locks require one press, off-road and wading modes require a double press. Just spent 3 days in and out of Wonnangatta in the Vic highlands. Ineos was phenomenal. Travelled with Jeep wrangler rubicon and modified hilux. Ineos didn’t do a thing wrong.

    Foot rest problem? Was little concerned with all the hype before purchase but having driven now mainly long distances towing heavy, about 15000k, really don't notice, on long stretches use cruise control and relax.. same as steering issue on road that media continually mentions, what? Again drive one for a while - is easy as. My biggest gripe, and it's minor, is the tpms of all things and trying to set it for high rear pressures on rear axle towing. Great conversation thanks gents.

    It’s a lot of value for money.
    I got mine for $134 Aud with a fair bit of fruit from Ineos. Meaning it’s all covered under warranty. Which is massive.
    They offer 5 year unlimited KM bumper to bumper warranty.
    And according to my agent selling the cars, the Ineos 2 year road side assistance will bail you out on any gazetted track in Australia. Meaning if you break it on the Canning Stock Route, they’ll come fix it or tow you out.
    Let’s see Toyota do that.

      @Wickham09 Місяць тому +1

    I feel a lot of people miss that the drivers footrest issue is only in right-hand drive markets. Considering there are something like 165 countries that drive on the right (left side driver) as opposed to something like 75 of us, you can see the reasoning why the awkward "hump" in the drivers footwell in Australia.
    Not ideal, but I can understand.
    I'm sure the next version will have all these small issues fixed. Hopefully they will survive and build a new one in a few years.

    The european styling comes from the owner of Ineos who has a mad passion for Landrover Defenders. When Landrover stopped making proper Defenders, the British billionaire who owns Ineos chemicals was gutted and decided he was going to make his own 4WD to keep the solid axle "Defender" alive. Really cool story and hence why this vehicle looks exactly like a modernised Landrover Defender and why it comes stock with so many things that 4WD enthustiasts want, which is a rare thing in new 4WDs these days.
