Thanks for the video, although I was bummed when the most critical part of the ingrown root removal started and suddenly the video basically skipped to the end .....I thought I was going to learn something by watching the cut(s) in detail.
To be clear, you should state what your objectives are with the roots. It appears just removing any wraparounds. If the goal is to increase business to arborists, not real helpful to homeowner.
Interesting response. Tree nurseries should be asked that question. As this specimen similar to Almost 100% of stock today arrived already suffering potential strangling root problem. Today's mulching f a d also causes same exact fatal problem. As all trunk flare roots should grow radially outbound to help keep tree standing similar to guy wires stiffening a tower antenna.
Just watch other videos . I thought it was clear. I mean look at those wierd roots! maybe You could do more research .. (more business??) this guy is saving the tree.
@@CONCERTMANchicago Yes- Nurseries are a joke! A fact that 60% of all nusery stock is doomed. They sell crap and then wait for ignorant people to buy more.

Look at other videos with "good roots" that radiate out away from the tree. You do not want any roots to collide with the trunk at all.
Think ill try it.
Thank You
No SHovel! use a single hook cultivator or Cobra head!

Sounds like you have a problem. Perhaps an arborist could help. He should start by telling you what roots do.
