Benidorm is indeed often compared to the "Spanish Las Vegas" because of the large number of nightclubs, casinos and entertainment that are offered there for tourists.
The phrase I see used the most is "Blackpool in the sun" lol... I've been to Benidorm tonnes of times and it's definitely closer to being Blackpool than it is New York or Las Vegas!
It's because of how many highrise buildings. Like nowhere else in Spain, on beach coast. Looks like a cosmopolitan beach city, but it's always been aimed to be middle class families affordable.
I don't know about nowadays but alot of middle class small business families of Madrid, also had their business there for annual tourist season. Mainly food and other personal services
It depends on how lucky you are. You never know but I would assure that if you stay around 5-6 days you can probably enjoy at least a couple of them of sunny days

First time I hear about Benidorm being known as "Spanish Las Vegas"... 🤷
"New York of the Mediterranean" I've heard and read a lot.

That's a city that would end up being abandoned if the middle class disappeared
Anyone know what it’s like at the end of October?

I know what it was like 40 years ago.
looking for a 1 br. apartment for 3 months in /25. near beach but not near the salinas (bracish water). do not know where to start looking.
We are engaged only in sales, if you need to rent, then most likely it can be a "booking" site
AMERICAN VOICE?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
So ugly 🙈 but to those who like beton 🤷♂️
💪 A concrete fortress! 😄 But Calpe is not just about concrete - it’s also about the sea, mountains, and the Spanish vibe.
