I have the same problem. I turned 16 two days ago and my settings are still restricted, but I can go live. It’s so annoying and they aren’t contacting me back.
i know i’m really late but in order to change dms to everyone, you have to have your age set to 16+ when you create your account, and you also have to verify your email (three dots/lines, settings and privacy, manage account, verify email)

Can you hide chats between people so if someone gets your phone they can’t see what you have been texting. This is mainly with friends or when following someone.
If someone did a video reply to one of your comments and then you delete that comment after the video reply was created will the video reply be deleted also?

I changed my username and everything. I know I can adjust my settings to friends only for a public account but that still won't make a difference cuz scammers can still find you in other ways.
