Mark question I have a version 1 Stryker 955 am I also able to get ham on it I noticed on the first into I one of your videos you could do that I did not realize it so that's why I'm asking the question if I can get in on the Virgin one
That's not how revision control works. No hardware was changed. Therefore no major version numbers are incremented. I get it. People want to believe that, but it's just not how things work in the real world.
Yeah basically. Minor software change. Let's call it a new radio so we can sell it all over again! Imagine if Yaesu or Kenwood thought of that! OMG! How many firmwares has the DX10 had? 8? That's like 8 new radios! wooooo! :)
@@Mark19960 It's just people go crazy over these radios. They think they are going to sound like a broadcast station. Meanwhile, I have not heard that hermit in the desert for a while 😎 Have a pleasant Sunday.
It would not be referred to it by anything more than the model number. No plus or anything added. Software updates happen all the time. It doesn't change the underlying hardware.
Well done Mark on debunking this rumour. Hope your all well mate. Cheers from QUEENSLAND Australia.
Thank you for the clear explanation i owned a stryker 655 and never had any issues :)
I have used a 955 in my car for years without an issue. It lays on the seat in the blazing hot sun. No problems.
I do like your series covering this radio. The 655 / 955 series radio has have the most rumors and theories of any radio made.
And the shame is that the rumours are created to trick people in order to extract more money.
@@Mark19960 exactly.
Great info
