Hey Ellie! Glad to have you visit our country! Greetings from Mexico and thank you for your content. And sadly, yes, safety is an issue, even for us, glad to know you were accompanied and enjoyed your trip.
There is a whole medical/dental tourism on border towns in Mexico. 1/3 the price and if one shops around can find U.S. trained and experienced dentists. Too expensive for services in America.
I read more about it after the trip and surprisingly Matamoros isn’t even in the top 10 of dentist destinations in Mexico! Sure seemed like it would be based on the number of offices!
I have a friend that goes to Mexico for his dental work. He ask the dentist where did he get his training. He said University of Texas Dental School. He ask the eye doctor and they said Baylor College of Medicine). It seems that the RV (recreational vehicle) people know where to go and where NOT to go for dental, eye care and medical work).
Hi doll! I’ve done all my dentistry in Mexico for years now. I go to a little town outside of Yuma Arizona. I haven’t seen you in ages so you haven’t seen my new teeth but I have all beautiful Hollywood veneers for about 1/10 of what it costs in the states! Excellent service, true crafts people who are proud of their work, nothing like US dentists that are either overpriced or “affordable“ but don’t give a toss about you or their work 🦷
Just realized after watching that this was your second channel. People are missing out. I found this very very accidentally; maybe you should mention it on your main channel every once and awhile. I enjoyed this.
What Hans said. Put it in the TOC for future shows. Ellie is a smart lady - let her run. Don't wait for me. Go go. That was a nice dress. I wonder if she kept their card. I think it wise to honor the local merchant. I would like to see the workmanship it may be a really good teal on the outfit. Haggle.
Non taken. I love seeing more foreirgners coming in to Mexico despite the lack of security in many places and tourist areas, we have so much to offer and I would to see more people visiting not only the famous beaches but the real Mexico outside tourist areas so they can have a real taste and feel of what Mexico is. The food, the people and a lot of youtubers are experiencing that and I love it, the exposure of the way comun citizens live and eat at the markets is freaking awesome, ai hope things get better so more people can travel with more peace of mind throughout the country.
I love learning second hand from other peoples' first hand experiences. It's the best way to learn. Thanks so much for another informative, entertaining video! That mask was hysterical 😂 I would have worn it around just for the laughs. Thanks again! ☺️
I've also been on a Cruz to Cozumel where we experienced record breaking torrential downpours! I was able to experience a private visit to a Mayan ruin site that was closed because our tour guide had connections.
Best 12 minutes of my day. I wish I had known you were going. That dress looks awesome and I would love to see you in it again. Ok, dad kinda proud wants to reward, not the creepy way. Any chance you will go back?
So you have to use four quarters to walk from the US to Mexico? It won't take dollar bills or a credit card, or give change? Reminds me of laundry room machines from about 20 years ago. Hilarious!
LOL wait. How much was two cheesecakes and two monsters? Looked like you had 320p on the counter, which would be about $16us. Not too bad. Then you showed change on the table 260p. That would be 60p. ~$3us for pastry and a drink for two. How cool. It seems you found the spot.
@@ellievated9819 Aw. You made my day Ellie! Sorry for being cheeky 🤭😇 I couldn't help it. You are a delight on the eyes AND you make great content. Love your work and I did enjoy this lots! Thank you! 😊🙏🏻🤍
Welcome to border towns in Mexico. Matamoros isn't the safest place to be, for sure. But, if you really want to experience Mexico, I highly recommend a trip to Guadalajara or CDMX. Much more to do and safer, honestly. Amazing cities.
That was a really cool little day trip to Mexico, Thanks for sharing. I defiantly would be nervous going there also. I also got to experience Star-link today my friend finally got his and I helped him install it in Louisiana.
2:45 I'm not an expert so I might not be 100% accurate, but that music sounds like Salsa, which is not Mexican at all -- it's the music of Cuba and Puerto Rico. For Mexican music, you want Mariachi or Tejano. (I don't know if Mexicans in Mexico listen to Tejano, but Mexicans in Texas do. I know from my time as a public school teacher in a Hispanic neighborhood in Houston.)
You may be on to something. Give us your favorite Tejano. Like language - regional musicality - Not just CC closed captioned speech but local flavor. More. I am listening in the back ground. The message may be about the kids and wanting to learn - how to get them excited about travel and space? Better yet Space Travel. I am looking for 100,000 subscribers for Ellie - How ? It will come - in time. Mike you are close to something big. We want to hear and recognize all the music. ty
She probably typed up Latin music, funny mistake. It's funny because most Mexicans in Texas hate being called Latino. They prefer Hispanic, Tejano, or simply Mexican. Probably because of things like Ellie's mistake.
Si. The Texans don't much like the state being called tayhoss - no idea how to spell it. How do we bridge the language and culture barriers? We need help and cooperation - globally. I'll pray it will take an "Act of God" to give us world peace. People are stupid. It is so sad -all of us stuck on the same rock. At least for now. Hope for the best and plan for the worst.
@@Levitiy Ok, that sounds reasonable! I thought it was a bit confusing to do that in a border region, but of course the exchange rate is such that you would not normally confuse them.
