That is a beautiful collection. I purchased a German Calvary NCO peaked hat a few years ago. It was a little tattered but overall a beautiful piece. When I looked under the headband area, I found a newspaper that was rolled up and put there to reinforce it. I spoke to a German WWII veteran, and he said that was a very common practice. The really interesting thing was that the newspaper was dated 20 July 1944. Talk about a great find.
I just love things like that - it really makes you feel in TOUCH with the past doesn't it. there was a great Luft NCO visor on Ratisbon's recently that had two movie tickets under the brim. just magic...
Alex, is it possible to see some of the other items in this amazing collection… like the uniforms, helmets, and other headgear in those cases back there? I hope the owner let you film some of these things. Thanks for the video!
Amazing collection!!! I'd love to have an original but they are just too expensive! If I would have bought one a few years ago maybe, but just in the last couple or three years they really have gone up, I had to buy an American-made copy of the SS Dagger, just have something but of course I would love to have an original... great review, I will look for you on Instagram too And subscribe here also!
we love you Alex! btw the word you were looking for for the grenade is "scored" in english. you score something by cutting deeply but not all the way through it :)
Hey Alex, love this stuff you present and really love your videos. Question about this video, the place your recording this video, what is it? Militaria shop or so because there is so many stuff like stags of visor caps, uniforms, daggers and so on. I was just wondering where and what this place is. It's awesome. Greetings from the Netherlands. Mike

The top of the grenade is called fragment in English because it breaks into small parts when it explodes!!!
I don’t like how they’re all shiny like someone has sat there and polished them? I don’t know but I like a bit of age in my collectables
