This just occurs to me. Remember when Iroh saw Appa on the ferry. He didn't tell Zuko so he wouldn't go down the path of catching him again. So while in Ba Sing sé Iroh knee the Avatar could be near. Then when Zuko found an Appa flier he tried to make Zuko forget about it. But Iroh already scouted out where the Avatar was staying. That's why he knew where to find them when he needed help rescuing Zuko.
Damn....Mila is instant with that shutdown on Aang becoming a guru. Honestly, I think you both underestimate the kid, and this episode. This is big emotional stuff, ...like relatable human stuff! He masters all of this for the sake of brevity and show-writing but, emotionally, he's incredibly capable for 12 years old.
Even the separation of the four elements is an illusion... if you open your mind you’ll see that all the elements are one, four parts of the same whole, even metal is just as part of earth that’s been purified and refined... best moment of this episode
I’m glad I’m not the only that was mad about Aang not thinking about Sokka. I understand he loves Katara but cmon man Sokka is like family to him. This is the first time I’ve seen anyone mention this love your reaction ladies.
I never thought about it that way until now, and I agree. They should have gone for the whole family instead of just Katara. Especially Sokka, since he has been there since day 1. But I guess the writers were hellbent on using that moment to develop Aang and Katara's love story further.
@@dcharith it really bugged for some reason when I first watched the series cuz I think romance kinda just makes the scene a lot more juvenile in nature. Where as if it was about him not wanting to give up Sokka, Katara, Appa, Toph etc. it’d land much more wit me I don’t care about Aang’s crush when the world is at stake.
I'm sorry but the love for a significant other is very different from the love for a homie. Of course Katara "attaches" him to the world more than Sokka.
Hakoda and Ozai are the polar opposites. One trusted his son to look after the tribe while the other burned his son and sent him on a fool's errand for speaking out of turn.
Air and mind chakras are the best, man it always gets me when aang is in front of every air nomad that died 100 years ago, and toph being the first metalbender in the world
3:47 I really wish they would have not put that line there, it is so telling. 5:44 They made Zuko more likable, so that in next episode people would dislike him even more. 6:23 Women know other women :) 7:35 That would have been even greater moment if the episode had not spoiled it before. But still pretty awesome. 9:26 Cosmic Aang looks scary and powerful. 11:01 Hahaha! :D Azula's little smile. Everyone is her fools. :)
Chuook ( I don't know how to spell it in English). It's a thick rice soup that you have to stir every few minutes so the rice doesn't stick to the bottom of the pot. Then you add in meats and vegetables to your taste. Beef is too tough. I like chicken livers myself because they're small. There's also thousand year old egg which is an exaggeration. This was invented when China didn't have refrigeration over a thousand years ago. Chinese farmers would start burying duck eggs in the fall in black clay. By winter time, they would dig them back up and the eggs would have a grey yolk and black on the interior. . Then you add thinly chopped garlic in sticks like a tooth pick to the bowl.. You can make it easier on yourself by going to a dim sum (little heart) restaurant where you might find other foods you like.
When the guru was saying think of the people u love he wasn’t saying the ones that u like as a friend or love as a friend he lent like love like aang does with katara that’s why he didn’t think of Sokka like u guys said
Your reactions and comments are so great 😂 When Aang leaves to save the others it reminds me of when Luke Skywalker leaves Yoda to save his friends in cloud city
Y'know, just now, for the first time ever I googled Jook to see what it actually is. Its essentially rice porridge. Which doesnt sound bad, though im not a fan of rice. Depending on what Iroh put in it, I bet it could have been delicious. To clarify, I dont dislike rice, I just think its very boring food unless done really well. And I believe iroh would know how to make some really good rice.
8:35 about the sokka comment 😂. This show is actually dope because throughout the show aang and sokka are always busting dumb jokes and laughing together. Also other stuff sokka does for aang no spoilers. They are genuinely best friends lmao.
It always felt like he was just trying to settle. Probably why it felt so bizarre and even disturbing for me at how different he was. Lol happy Zuko just freaked me out here. Even more so than Joo Dee 😂
This is one of the inconsistencies in Aang's character that drives me nuts. His wavering between love, duty, and the way of the monks prevents him from achieving proper character growth. SPOILERS > If the ways of the air nomads were SO important to him that he couldn't commit "the deed" in season 3, then he also should have been able to detach himself from Katara and achieve the final chakra. The bs spinal trigger in the finale is bad writing imo. I think he either should have sacrificed his life and principles as a monk or sacrificed his earthy attachment to Katara (the way past avatars were required to). Instead, he didn't have to change or grow up at all, and he still won the war, the girl, and the avatar state.
*SPOILERS* Actually, he was able to let go of Katara in the S2 finale but when Azula zapped him, that created a physical block. So when the S3 finale happened, if we just ignore how convenient the rock stabbing Aang was, it basically helped to clear that physical block. And remember, Aang was already in the middle of going into the Avatar State back when he was zapped. So when the block cleared, he basically just resumed where he left off from the S2 finale. As for letting go of Katara, I like to point out that the Guru said "You must *learn* to let go". How I took that was not that Aang needed to permanently let go of Katara forever, but that as the Avatar, *if the time* ever came down to putting the world first, he would have to be able to do so. So trying to temporarily forget Katara for like 5 minutes wouldn't have worked. Aang really had to accept learning to genuinely let her go if the time ever came. In the S2 finale, he genuinely did so because there was no other choice in that moment. In order to save her, himself, and the world in that moment, he let her go. Past Avatars were also able to master the AS and still have attachments. Roku for example, married and even had a child.
