3 Iris Perfumes

My Iris journey is likely just beginning but I had these perfumes out and it’s interesting to talk about trends that are right in front of you.
Perfumes that have Iris in their names:

Totally agree that perfume obsession is a goldilocks journey to finding the perfect version of whatever you’re craving. I have a long list of Iris frags I desperately need to try 😂.

I would like to try the Van Cleef and Arpel Bois D’Iris, and the Shalimar Millisime Iris. Guerlain Samsara, has a nice powdery Iris note along with the Sandlewood. I also really enjoy Lelabo Santal 33, which also is Iris, with Sandlewood. So interesting the difference the orris root smells, in the Santal 33, compared to a traditional Iris. 💜

I would be curious to hear your thoughts on Francesca Bianchi's new release, Encounters, which is a leathery, dirty iris with a touch of oud. So far I am really enjoying it. It reminds me a little bit of Dior Homme Parfum but much less dense-and therefore far more wearable in warmer weather (where the Dior becomes suffocating). I also got a sample of Santa Maria Novella's Iris. It's quite nice, but much more tame than the leathery naughtiness I find in Francesca Bianchi's Encounters.

Completely disagree with the review.
Millesime Iris Guerlain is not a sugary kind of gourmand perfume. More than that for the nose who knows perfumery.
