Thank you. If you have a modded Xbox, you can download the offline DLC installer from the web to your PC and then ftp on the modded Xbox for installation.
I have to agree with the car selections for its time, but the balancing of cars was horrendous...Maxda MX-5 Miata is in the same bracket as the Porsche Boxster S. The closest example to this horrible balancing is like grouping bicycles and high-end motorcycles in the same bracket because they both have two wheels. And it is good enough to be in the same group because we grouped it by type; not performance of any kind. This really has made 85% of cars useless on platinum difficulty for casual players.
Thank You for watching:D My pick of 5 best car in PGR2 are TVR Cerbera Speed 12, Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR, Porsche 911 GT1, Enzo Ferrari, and Ferrari F50.

Was this on an original Xbox or an RGH/JTAG Xbox 360? Cause I can't seem to get the update to install (I'm playing it on a RGH/JTAG Xbox 360). I loaded up the installer and the DLC installed fine, but I still can't see it in my game as I haven't installed the update. Apparently, loading the installer for the update will lead me to a screen with just the Xbox logo. Any tips to install the title update for my 360?
I'm using a softmod Original Xbox. The DLC still works on the RGH/JTAG Xbox 360, but it requires extra steps for the PGR2 DLC to work. Here are the steps for it: JTAG/RGH MODDED XBOX 360 & HOW TO INSTALL THE PGR2 DLC (Steps by Rookie [NL]) - Unzip the PGR2 DLC, the result is a folder named "Project Gotham Racing 2 DLC" - Inside this PGR2DLC folder you will find folders "content" and "CDXU" (and some other folders and files) - Copy (not move) the folder "content" into folder "CDXU" - FTP the folder "Project Gotham Racing 2 DLC" (with the 2 "content" folders) to your OG Xbox games folder on your Xbox 360 - On your Xbox 360 in the "Project Gotham Racing 2 DLC" folder start default.xbe - Install Paris and install Long Beach, do not Launch Installer 2 - Go back to your Xbox 360 homebrew dashboard - In the "Project Gotham Racing 2 DLC\CDXU" folder open default.xbe - Install PAL or NTSC update (depends on the region of your PGR2 game disc) - Go back to your Xbox 360 homebrew dashboard - Backup (or rename) the PGR2 original "default.xbe" file - Copy the "default.xbe" from the “your dlc path on your xbox360"\TDATA\4d53004b$u folder into the PGR2 game folder - Start the game (so you start the default.xbe from the DLC that is now located in the PGR2 game folder) - Go to Multiplayer - System Link - Create New Game - You will find the DLC "Long Beach" and "Paris" on top of the CITYSELECT list
@@RetroGamingDragon384RGD I tried following most of the steps and it leads me to a screen saying “The auto-update is damaged and cannot be used. Press A to remove the auto-update and restart your Xbox console”. The update I installed was from the NTSC version as I copied the game to my hard drive using an NTSC disc. Then when I delete and reinstall the game, apparently the DLC doesn’t work. Apparently my disc is the NTSC version, which was copied to the hard drive, then I downloaded the NTSC update as well.

No, not yet. I still need to do some practice run on platinum before doing the longplay. You wouldn't expect it until either summer 2021 or summer 2022 :(. I just got my associate degree; I have started studying for my bachelor's degree this semester.
Same with the Roadster class and most of the other classes (about 75% of them are unbalanced. Only 2-3 classes are balanced). The problem with PGR2's car class is that they used car types, not car classes based on performances (S, A, B, C, D, etc). It's not doing justice for the balancing team with the idea of balancing cars around car types, I would assume :P When you can't even use every car on higher difficulty; you're restricted to select a few cars. That just makes it less fun on higher difficulty simply because they're using better cars (if you pick low performance cars).
@@RetroGamingDragon384RGD true, best example I remember was having to drive that weird Delfino Feroce car because it was really OP in the Super Car class and I hated that because the C5 Z06 and a lot of other cars I liked were in that class
From PGR1 to PGR2, the Delfino Feroce is like night and day. In PGR1, the Delfino is pretty much on par (slightly slower on the acceleration which makes it the slowest car in its class) with the C5 Z06, Lotus Exige, Aston Martin Vanquish, and Ferrari 355. Then there's the Ferrari 360 and TVR Tuscan, Viper RT-10 (higher class) which is a lot faster than the Delfino in every aspect. Then we came to PGR2, where the Delfino has crazy acceleration (on par with extreme class). Hell, it's even faster than the Porsche 959 (even though it is in the extreme class). With all being said, PGR2 is my least favorite PGR due to the sole reason that most classes are unbalanced.
Sure, if you compare it to the current game such as Project Cars, Forza Horizon, etc. However, if you consider the game came out November 2003 on the OG Xbox then the model aren't so bad!
@@RetroGamingDragon384RGD oh you are actually missing out a huge gaming history. To be fair, PGR had damage model and interior view but GT3 and GT4 had the best visuals for that generation. Plus the game was able to cram in around 700 cars with over 50 tracks.
That's impressive that it was able to cram 700 cars. I didn't get the chance to even play online multiplayer on my Xbox until 2013! I'm usually late to things :(
Ask Bizarre Creations. But unfortunately they are defunct sooo. I think Pacific Muscle refers to Japanese cars. Because they are fast and cool ya know :v

I still play this game after all these years! ❤
I wish this game was on PC or on Steam cause this is one of the best racing games back then.
Me too.
Such a shame 1 and 2 didn’t feature Lamborghini and then 3 removed Porsche.
Definitely, what a shame.
You can thank ea for taking away Porsche
This is so good!

Go to car selection (either in Kudos World Series or Arcade Racing) and then go to Garage.
