    When I was studying in school, I think that I had missed some crucial explanations and I was clueless about how to solve such equations. I barely passed this topic, having memorized some basic formulas and writing them down. Today, at 28 years of age, I decided to look up what I had missed. It didn't even seem hard. Thank you for your work! I had struggled with what was written in the textbook for weeks, but with your video it took me only minutes. Awesome!

    Great explanation for specific questions, but a deeper understanding of how to go about solving would have been more appreciated. I teach and tutor higher mathematics , I also look for vids to supplement my teachings with students. Some of your other vids are wonderful, my comment is strictly constructive criticism. Most of my students only need to understand how to solve the problem to complete their degree (and of course get the answer right). You would make a wonderful tutor if you haven’t tutored already. Cheers!

    Second, aren’t you not supposed to divide by a trig factor - in this case COS X,since you may loose solutions???

    If you get familiar with the graphs of trig functions, the answers become visually intuitive. Then you actually learn what the math is saying about reality. For example, once you have cosx = sinx, you automatically know that those functions equal each other periodically. Look at the graph! It’s so cool! The math checks out! Great work. Always love your work.
    I have question though. The last problem you solved, you got sinx=-1 and then to get x=sin inverse of -1 which is -90 but you didn't solve it that way

    Im still confused about when you write it out as an equation. Like after you say x= pi, 0 pi/6 etc. Finding X i get but how are you getting pi times n. What is n? Just an integer?

    When your answer is lets say: tan x = (-3), and the angle you get is -72 degrees (to the nearest degree), Do you always use the positive angle?

    • @gusgus7432
      @gusgus7432 5 років тому

      You would add a positive 72 to 90 and subtract it from 360 because that's where tangent is negative. You determine positive/negative from whatever number tangx is equal to (in your case, -3).

    • @koushikrajsaha5118
      @koushikrajsaha5118 Рік тому

      So tanx = -3
      x = tan inverse (3)
      When we type in the calculator, we write the positive value of -3, which is 3. We do not write -3 in the calculator.
