That's bc of the Sotenbori Sprint method from 7 pretty much eliminated any challenge maxing out Ichiban's personality. It was way too easy & made nearly all the Hero requests & the Oubara Vocational tests redundant at that point. You can definitely tell that the devs wanted every aspect of the game to be more of a time sink than the previous title. Even the jobs' permenant stat boosts reflect this by making every job have give you similar stat boosts up to lvl 99 (attack, HP, magic, defense, etc in that order) while in 7, specific jobs gave you specific boosts (Breaker boosting agility & attack, Idol boosting healing & MP, etc). Meaning you gotta spend more time on all jobs to get the right character builds & even then, you'd have to find & use stat boost items from all sorts of places & mini games to make the party the strongest they can be. It's crazy.
Okay for everyone that doesn't wanna do the tasks because they can be tedious, do the 9 honk honks around the map, they can be reset if all of them are done and you drink a smoothie next to the ATM machine across from revolve

Been playing for 70 hours and still have 1 maxed out and the rest at level 9 this is much more grindy than the first game
I feel the bonds are much more grindy, not sure if theres any better way other than the clubs after finishing their cards/links

@@Micstand4absolutely not. Just go to the cabaret and you can max your bonds out in minutes. The personality mechanic sucks.

Do all the part time hero hero and collect all memories in both cities-Yokohama/Kamuracho. This should get you where you need to be.
