Do you practice HEMA ? european martial arts helps you understand how a weapon / armor works. Its essential to make good functionnal armors. Your buckler is good looking, but its not a real weapon. To make it functionnal, put the handle closer to the center of mass (so make it flat). It makes the buckler way more efficient to use beacause it equilibrates it. Gauntlet isnt really needed to hold the buckler. Of course its safer, but dexterity is often more important than protection.
Uhm just one correction...make handle flat, the thing you made for handle makes buckler pretty bad at being a centergriped shield
