Yes, we are the band who played at E3 2007.

For copywrite reasons, it does not contain the halo theme - it is all original showcasing the same talent as seen in the video :)
We do not currently have tabs or sheet music for any of the parts. sorry.
We did not use purchased sheet music. the parts were all transcribed by Dave VerLee. We cannot distribute our transcription.
The choir in the beginning is played by the guitar using a guitar synth pick up (Roland GK-2a) and a synth module (Roland GR-33).
We are also using electric drums to trigger other percussion sounds, timpani, gong, etc.
...and for those of you who still think we're faking, we played at E3 2007.
We're not in High school anymore. We were seniors in the talent show video. Now we are all in colleges.

It's 2024. I just entered the final year of my 30s. My youngest child is finally getting the hang of using the potty while I drum the Halo theme on the top of our dryer. I still remember the first time I found this video. Man, this tune brings back some good memories.

Holy shit, this takes me back. I used to be friends with Hannah (the violin player) when these guys first started, lost contact with her a while back. Last thing I heard was she was performing with an orchestra in Utah and teaching music.
Still too cool. Wish I could play that game for the first time again.

Goddang, 12 years now.
I was able to find their facebook heres the last post from October 2022 "Here's a long overdue update:
Hanah got married and is playing for the San Diego Symphony.
Robb, Dave, and I (guitarist Dave) all got married and had kids. We try our best to keep in touch, but starting families has a way of rearranging one's priorities. That said, the probability of getting together and doing more music is small yet non-zero.
I'll let Robb and Dave speak for themselves on their musical endeavors.
I'm not playing in any bands right now, mostly just my church where I play most Sunday mornings and Thursday nights with our youth group. I'm a DSP engineer for Sure"

Wow, I seriously need to keep up with my local music. You guys played this at E3 2007, and I just found out about you guys. Not only that, you're from Libertyville, which is practically my backyard (kinda, I live way north of there). Needless to say, this is an epic rendition of the Halo theme.

Decade or more, and this is still something I want to show friends to point out how composers can do amazing work combining unusual instruments - and imho she did better job with the violin than the original soundtrack.
Such a balanced song between all of the instruments, no single instrument really takes the spotlight
